exempt from the payment of the Real Estate Tax (IBI) to the owners of the 44 houses that were most severely affected by the damage registered last autumn<\/strong>, a measure that will be applied in the next fiscal year and that seeks to alleviate the economic situation of the affected neighbors.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h4><a data-end=\"1110\"> is directed exclusively to the properties that suffered major structural damage<\/strong> due to the intense torrential rains of October and November, after the technical evaluation carried out by the municipal services. <strong data-start=\"1261\" data-end=\"1382\">The City Council has delimited this group of 44 houses as the most affected by the extreme meteorological episode<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1385\" data-end=\"1445\">Awaiting state aid after the disaster area<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1447\" data-end=\"1870\"><strong data-start=\"1447\" data-end=\"1628\">The IBI exemption is part of a wider context of steps initiated after the declaration of Ibiza as an area seriously affected by a civil protection emergency<\/strong>, approved at the end of November. <strong data-start=\"1663\" data-end=\"1786\">At that time, the City Council announced the preparation of a detailed damage report to request aid from the State<\/strong>, both for public infrastructures and for housing and economic activities.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1872\" data-end=\"2325\"><strong data-start=\"1872\" data-end=\"1995\">According to municipal estimates, the damage to infrastructures and public services exceeds 14 million euros<\/strong>, while the total economic impact of the storm could be around 30 million if the damages in the private sector are included. <strong data-start=\"2145\" data-end=\"2324\">The Consistory then stated that the tax exemption and other local measures would be complementary to the compensation that could come from the central Administration<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2327\" data-end=\"2699\"><strong data-start=\"2327\" data-end=\"2455\">The City Council emphasizes that the IBI rebate is intended to offer immediate relief to the most affected families<\/strong>, while the administrative procedures for the granting of supra-municipal aid are being resolved. <strong data-start=\"2560\" data-end=\"2698\">The measure will not be of a general nature and will be limited only to the properties included in the technical list drawn up after hurricane Gabrielle and dana
