The announcement of his departure from the public broadcaster and his incorporation to the leading television group is, undoubtedly, one of the first television coups of the year, especially considering the success he has achieved in recent seasons with his <em data-start=\"821\" data-end=\"831\">Late Xou<\/em> program. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"834\" data-end=\"1267\"><strong data-start=\"834\" data-end=\"934\">Gir\u00f3 has managed to consolidate his position as one of the most highly rated presenters by viewers.<\/strong> His return to La 1 after the Christmas vacations coincided with the official announcement of Atresmedia, which celebrates his incorporation as a <strong data-start=\"1069\" data-end=\"1088\">&#8220;bomb&#8221; signing<\/strong> to reinforce the network&#8217;s entertainment and information offer. This move leaves <strong data-start=\"1183\" data-end=\"1243\">Televisi\u00f3n Espa\u00f1ola without one of the most popular faces<\/strong> of recent times. <\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"834\" data-end=\"1267\">The success of Late Xou<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1269\" data-end=\"1695\">The trajectory of <em data-start=\"1287\" data-end=\"1297\">Late Xou<\/em> is a good example of the dimension of the communicator within public television. The program, which began broadcasting only on La 2, made the leap to Tuesday nights on La 1 after the arrival of Jos\u00e9 Pablo L\u00f3pez to the presidency of RTVE. <strong data-start=\"1539\" data-end=\"1648\">The program has averaged a 12% audience share in prime time, leading in many of its broadcasts<\/strong> and consolidating itself as a success for the channel. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1697\" data-end=\"2457\"><strong data-start=\"1697\" data-end=\"1760\">The negotiations to renew <em data-start=\"1730\" data-end=\"1740\">Late Xou<\/em> were complex.<\/strong> For several months there was speculation about its possible continuity, but in August RTVE began to broadcast the promos of the new season of the space, although everything had not yet been closed. In radio, he <strong data-start=\"3407\" data-end=\"3452\">hosts the magazine show <em data-start=\"3428\" data-end=\"3442\">Vost\u00e9 primer<\/em> on Rac1<\/strong>, where he has also consolidated his presence.   <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3498\" data-end=\"3957\"><strong data-start=\"3498\" data-end=\"3565\">With a degree in Art History from the University of Barcelona<\/strong>, Gir\u00f3 has worked in formats that combine current affairs, social analysis and entertainment, <strong data-start=\"3657\" data-end=\"3737\">winning the affection of the public thanks to his closeness, irony and sensitivity<\/strong>.
