{"id":149268,"date":"2026-01-12T12:10:38","date_gmt":"2026-01-12T11:10:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/sin-categorizar\/this-is-what-the-weather-will-be-like-in-the-balearic-islands-this-week\/"},"modified":"2026-01-12T12:10:38","modified_gmt":"2026-01-12T11:10:38","slug":"this-is-what-the-weather-will-be-like-in-the-balearic-islands-this-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/en\/current-news\/this-is-what-the-weather-will-be-like-in-the-balearic-islands-this-week\/","title":{"rendered":"This is what the weather will be like in the Balearic Islands this week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"185\" data-end=\"480\">The <strong data-start=\"188\" data-end=\"231\">State Meteorological Agency (Aemet)<\/strong> forecasts stable weather in the Balearic Islands until next <strong data-start=\"282\" data-end=\"305\">Thursday, January 15<\/strong>, while from Friday a change of weather is expected to coincide with the celebrations of <strong data-start=\"409\" data-end=\"424\">Sant Antoni<\/strong>, when rains could be recorded in the archipelago.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"482\" data-end=\"767\">This has been indicated by the delegate of the Aemet in the Balearic Islands, <strong data-start=\"538\" data-end=\"561\">Maria Jose Guerrero<\/strong>, in statements to Europa Press, which has advanced that the beginning of the week will be marked by an <strong data-start=\"679\" data-end=\"696\">anticyclonic<\/strong> situation, with little cloudy skies and only some intervals of high clouds.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"769\" data-end=\"1017\">This stable weather will be accompanied by <strong data-start=\"810\" data-end=\"842\">morning mist in Mallorca<\/strong> on Tuesday and Wednesday, which on Thursday will extend to the whole of the Islands, with the appearance of <strong data-start=\"951\" data-end=\"971\">fog banks<\/strong> in the early morning and early hours of the morning.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1019\" data-end=\"1488\">As for temperatures, a <strong data-start=\"1061\" data-end=\"1080\">thermal rise<\/strong> is expected throughout the week, with values that could be <strong data-start=\"1139\" data-end=\"1192\">above normal for this time of year<\/strong>. Highs will range between <strong data-start=\"1226\" data-end=\"1244\">15 and 17 degrees<\/strong> on Monday and Thursday, and between <strong data-start=\"1279\" data-end=\"1297\">16 and 19 degrees<\/strong> on Tuesday and Wednesday. The minimum, meanwhile, will move in general between <strong data-start=\"1383\" data-end=\"1404\">4 and 10 degrees<\/strong>, although in the early hours of Monday January 12 have been recorded lower values.  <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1490\" data-end=\"1919\">By islands, in <strong data-start=\"1504\" data-end=\"1516\">Mallorca<\/strong> it has reached <strong data-start=\"1538\" data-end=\"1550\">0 degrees<\/strong> in areas such as Escorca (Lluc) and Campos (Salines), while <strong data-start=\"1631\" data-end=\"1656\">1 degree<\/strong> has been recorded <strong data-start=\"1631\" data-end=\"1656\">in Binissalem<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1659\" data-end=\"1671\">2 degrees<\/strong> in points such as Santa Maria, Palma airport, Manacor, the UIB, Sineu, Sa Pobla and Muro. In <strong data-start=\"1768\" data-end=\"1779\">Menorca<\/strong>, the minimums have been <strong data-start=\"1805\" data-end=\"1817\">3 degrees<\/strong> in Ciutadella and Cala Galdana, and in <strong data-start=\"1853\" data-end=\"1862\">Ibiza<\/strong> <strong data-start=\"1881\" data-end=\"1893\">2 degrees<\/strong> have been recorded in Sant Joan de Labritja. <\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1921\" data-end=\"1962\">Change of weather from Friday<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1964\" data-end=\"2346\">From <strong data-start=\"1977\" data-end=\"2001\">Friday, January 16,<\/strong> coinciding with the <strong data-start=\"2023\" data-end=\"2049\">revetla of Sant Antoni<\/strong> in many municipalities, a change of weather is expected due to the arrival of a <strong data-start=\"2129\" data-end=\"2140\">trough<\/strong> to the archipelago.
