The festival <\/span>San Miguel’s Day<\/b><\/a>festival, announced for next Saturday, September 28, at the <\/span>Port of San Miguel<\/b>in the municipality of Sant Joan<\/a> de Ibiza, currently lacks all the authorizations required for an event of this nature and is self-sold as a sustainable festival on the sea. <\/span> <\/p>\n

The festival has the full support of the City Council of Sant Joan and is part of the festival program of the coastal town.
\nYesterday, from the Consistory gave the green light for a free event that has raised great expectations and has hung the sign of no tickets<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>Department of the Sea and Water Cycle<\/b><\/a> is the body responsible for managing permits for activities on the coast as the one announced for weeks by the Spanish beer brand.

Marine strategy<\/h2>\n

Among the necessary documents for the celebration of the event is the <\/span>compatibility report with the marine strategy<\/b>, required by the <\/span>Demarcation of Coasts in the Balearic Islands<\/b>. <\/span>The Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge has explained to La Voz de Ibiza<\/strong> this Monday that, “following the request of the Conselleria of the determination of the amount of the fee, this Demarcation of Coasts has warned by means of an official letter sent to the Conselleria on 16.09.2024 that there was no record that a report of compatibility with the marine strategy <\/strong> had been requested “. <\/strong><\/span>

Consultations made in the last 72 hours by <\/span>La Voz de Ibiza<\/strong> to both agencies have not received a response to date, adding further uncertainty about the viability of the festival that is just around the corner but has been announced since September 13.<\/span><\/p>\n

Another pending procedure is the setting of the fee for the use of maritime space. <\/span>for the use of the maritime space<\/b>which continues to be the responsibility of the State.
