Volunteers of the Civil Protection of Sant Antoni<\/strong> have joined this Monday the Balearic Rescue Group (GBR), which is working in the area of Valencia<\/strong> to assist in the aftermath of the tragedy of the DANA<\/a><\/strong>. And one of their first tasks has been one of the hardest: they are looking for Ruben and Izan<\/strong>, two children who have been missing for almost a week in Torrent. Ruben and Izan are three and five years old respectively<\/strong>. Last Tuesday night they were in their country house in the Valencian town, while their father was preparing dinner and their mother was completing her working day as a cashier in a supermarket. Suddenly, they felt a roar and thought they would be safe at home, but soon the water swept through the house. Their father held on to a branch, but the current carried the children away, and they have been wanted ever since.<\/strong> <\/p>\n

However, it was only this Monday that formal rescue work could begin in the area of the ravine where Ruben and Izan’s house was located. “It is an unexplored waterway with an infinite number of vehicles. No one had entered it yet”. <\/strong>explained one of the Majorcan firefighters displaced to Valencia to \u00daltima Hora<\/em>. For its part, from its Instagram account, Civil Protection of Sant Antoni<\/strong> shared images of the area, where the water wreaked havoc.<\/p>\n
