The eighth edition of the Ibiza Light Festival<\/strong><\/a> which, weather permitting, will be held this weekend, <\/span>November 8th and 9th<\/b>. El festival de la luz de Ibiza volver\u00e1 a celebrarse este 2024 en Dalt Vila<\/strong>, con el <\/span>bastion of Santa Ll\u00facia as the main stage, <\/b>with the participation of 15 artists, 14 of them residents of the island and one from Madrid. In total, 11 installations will be presented with light as the central creative element. <\/span><\/p>\n

Pioneer in Spain in the category of festivals of light<\/b>The Ibiza Light Festival has established itself as one of the most outstanding and anticipated events on the island in autumn, <\/span>fusing art, technology and cultural heritage <\/b> in a spectacle that transforms the exceptional historical and monumental setting of Dalt Vila into a luminous canvas. By integrating creativity and technology with history and architecture, the festival stands out for its ability to <\/span>combining tradition and modernity. <\/b><\/p>\n

According to the organization, the Association of Artists and Audiovisual Companies of Ibiza<\/strong>, 40,000 people visited the last edition of the festival<\/strong>, 35 percent of whom were of international origin.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Three years ago we observed a very significant increase in interest in the Ibiza Light Festival, both in public and in artists and audiovisual creators interested in participating, and even more so this year,” explained Pedro Comesa\u00f1a, one of its three founders, along with Iv\u00e1n Dom\u00ednguez and Toni Castell\u00f3.<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n

“We want to thank the organizers for their contribution to the creation of a differential cultural offer, such as this festival of audiovisual art that fuses art and new technologies and that allows us to value the architectural and monumental heritage of Ibiza,” said the island councilor of Culture Sara Ram\u00f3n Rosell\u00f3. <\/span><\/p>\n

For his part, Alex Minchiotti, councilor of Commerce and Markets of the City Council of Eivissa, said: “We thank the organizers for the continuity of the event, despite the difficulties, an innovative and successful initiative,” and stressed that “this is a unique opportunity for citizens to go up to Dalt Vila, even more so this year, which commemorates the 25th anniversary of the declaration of World Heritage UNESCO”. <\/span><\/p>\n

Inspiration, the Ibiza Light Festival 2024<\/h2>\n

Under the heading <\/span>Inspiration<\/strong>, <\/span><\/i> Ibiza Light Festival 2024 will be a special edition. “It is an important year; the artists will try to leave a special mark in this edition that is framed in the 25th anniversary of the UNESCO declaration<\/strong>,” said Iv\u00e1n Dom\u00ednguez. <\/span><\/p>\n

Installations, sculptures and projections will make up “more than an itinerary, a surprising experience with an eclectic, immersive and interactive artistic and technological proposal<\/strong>aimed at all audiences, showing the World Heritage city in a different light,” the organizers have stated.<\/span><\/p>\n
