A group of neighbors of Sant Rafel<\/strong> has presented to the Consell de Ibiza<\/strong> 1,500 signatures<\/strong> in favor of the variant<\/a><\/strong> which aims to reduce traffic in the village, a project that rejects the PSOE considering that its impacts are “unacceptable and unacceptable”.<\/strong> In a statement, these neighbors have expressed that they are in favor of the alternative proposed by the Consell de Ibiza since “it will allow to take the road out of the village of Sant Rafel for its subsequent beautification and thus reduce the danger, noise and inconvenience that generates so much traffic through the center of town<\/strong>,” they say. “With this we want a more livable and respectful village for its residents and visitors,” they add from this “large group” of neighbors, who describe the work of the variant as a “historic and beneficial opportunity for all, where to live with more tranquility”. They also wanted to clarify that they are not part of “any political party” and that they are a group of residents of “different ideologies” who have come together for the “general good” of San Rafel. In the heading of the collection of signatures they are in favor of the variant number 7, which includes a raised level traffic circle to “effectively remove traffic from the village<\/strong>” and suggest the subsequent “beautification<\/strong>“, with the creation of pedestrian areas and a central square, which will “improve the daily experience” of residents and “enhance the tourist attraction<\/strong>” of Sant Rafel. The PSOE<\/strong> has called for the withdrawal of what it describes as a “macro-variant<\/strong>” and has presented allegations since it considers that it is not justified “technically”, fails to comply with “road and environmental” directives, foresees a “shocking elevated traffic circle” and “does not even solve the mobility problems of the town”.
