The Guardia Civil<\/strong> has prevented a squatting<\/a> <\/strong>by arresting a man while trying to enter a house in the town of Sant Antoni.<\/strong> As detailed Wednesday, last weekend a notice was received through the Operational Services Center of the Civil Guard, which reported the occupation of a house in a residential area. Quickly a patrol of the Guardia Civil went to the place, where he found a worker who said that while he was doing the maintenance of the pool, he noticed that the apartment next door, which was under construction at that time, was open with a man inside<\/strong>, unpacking suitcases and placing his personal belongings. The worker asked the squatter what he was doing there, who said he had rented the house. After doubting the veracity of what he had told him, he called the owner of the house who confirmed that he had not rented the house to anyone, so he called the Guardia Civil.<\/strong> Once the agents made the necessary identifications, they verified that the door of the apartment was forced<\/strong>, that the surveillance cameras were torn out<\/strong> and that there was a vehicle parked in a garden area. In addition, they verified that the man had a warrant and that the vehicle he had used to reach the house had false license plates and had been stolen in France<\/strong>.
