With the approval of the Executive Council and its publication in the BOIB last Friday, <strong>a period of 27 days<\/strong> is now open <strong>for the submission of bids<\/strong>. The construction of this <strong>motocross<\/strong> circuit, which is expected to start in <strong>the first half of 2025<\/strong>, will prioritize environmental care. <strong>&#8220;It will be one of the most sustainable motocross circuits in the world,&#8221;<\/strong> Losa assured, explaining that almost 50% of the budget will be aimed at reducing the environmental impact and potential noise nuisance to neighbors in the area. In fact, of the 4.8 million euro cost (excluding VAT), one million will be for earthworks and the installation of acoustic screens. Nearly another million will be used to install the rainwater drainage system. To comply with the regulations of the Balearic Environment Commission, the circuit will be built at a lower level, surrounded by <strong>barriers and acoustic screens<\/strong> to reduce noise, and <strong>sound controls will be carried out during the competitions<\/strong>. In addition, <strong>revegetation will be carried out in the surrounding areas<\/strong> and systems will be installed to use water from the sewage treatment plant for irrigation, which will also help to control dust.<\/p>\n<h2>A park with international potential<\/h2>\n<p>The Parc Motor de sa Coma will have a layout of <strong>1,525 meters long and six meters wide<\/strong>, with a starting straight of <strong>105 meters<\/strong>. It will also include a <strong>Pit-Lane, a Paddock for racers, changing rooms, toilets, infirmary<\/strong> and space for the public with capacity for <strong>1,840 people<\/strong>. As for logistics, the project includes a parking lot for 400 cars and 610 motorcycles. The national motocross coach, Paco Rico, present at the announcement, highlighted the potential of the circuit to host international competitions with some adaptations to the current design.
