Six Senses Ibiza<\/strong><\/a> announces the launch of the third call of the Sustainability Fund<\/strong>, which will receive and financially support proposals aimed at the preservation of the island environment and sustainable development of Ibiza<\/strong>. From December 1, 2024 to February 1, 2025<\/strong>, interested parties will be able to submit environmental and social<\/strong> initiatives with a return for the community<\/strong>, which will then be evaluated by a technical committee<\/strong>. The selected projects will be announced in April and will be monitored during their implementation to ensure their compliance in form and time. In a statement, the Six Senses Ibiza resort has informed that “to access the grants, the applications must show a positive impact for the island and its inhabitants in areas such as education, health, infrastructure, research or conservation of marine and terrestrial ecosystems, among other categories”. Six Senses Sustainability Fund<\/h2>\n

The Six Senses Sustainability Fund is a non-profit project created in 2021 to contribute to the preservation of the natural environment and sustainable island development. Annually, 0.5% of the hotel’s operating income and 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the establishment’s pet toy (a fabric hedgehog) are allocated to the fund. During 2023, five projects received economic, operational and logistical support<\/strong>: Alianza por el Agua de Ibiza y Formentera<\/strong>, for the educational project El agua en la escuela<\/strong>, in which more than 3,000 children have participated since its launch in 2022; <\/p>\n

Regenera Natura<\/strong>for the reforestation project of a plot of land devastated by fire and the consequent erosion of its ecosystems in the municipality of Sant Joan de Labritja; Regenera Natura Cala Xarraca<\/strong>; the Vellmari Association<\/strong>for the development and implementation of the Learn & Protect marine environmental education program, applied in diverse settings and for a variety of audiences; the Can Hog hedgehog sanctuary<\/strong>a native species in danger of extinction, with work focused on rescuing hundreds of hedgehogs a year, caring for them and reintegrating them into their natural habitat; and APNEEF<\/strong>The Association of People with Special Needs of Eivissa and Formentera, with whom the Environmental Education Program is carried out to raise awareness and acquire responsible habits about the care of the natural environment through summer activities in contact with nature.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
