The Policl\u00ednica Group<\/strong> has issued a statement to clarify the information related to the cessation of care for DKV<\/strong> policyholders in Ibiza<\/strong><\/a> y Formentera<\/strong><\/a> as of December 31. According to the clinic, the rupture was communicated by means of a burofax last October 28, in which DKV announced the unilateral termination of the contract, expressly prohibiting the attention to its clients as of that date. The Polyclinic assures that no price negotiation was ever established by DKV and that it was the clinic itself that offered in September a reduction in the rates, conditioned to the digitalization of the administrative processes. However, this proposal received no response before the contract was broken. In view of this situation, the Polyclinic claims to have sent a timetable to DKV on November 6 to guarantee the continuity of care for open processes until the end of the contract. The aim, according to the Group, is to protect policyholders who will be left stranded by the ban on care imposed by DKV.<\/p>\n

Impact on policyholders<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Grupo Policl\u00ednica criticizes that DKV<\/strong> ‘s decision affects some 4,000 insured in Ibiza and Formentera<\/strong>, leaving them without local healthcare coverage in 2025. In addition, it stresses that national policyholders visiting the islands will also be left without medical care at the clinic. The clinic describes DKV’s actions as “contrary to good practice” and says it could be subject to a complaint to the Directorate General of Insurance for leaving its policyholders without sufficient time to change insurance and guarantee their medical coverage. <\/p>\n

Measures for policyholders<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Policl\u00ednica Group has made its legal department available to DKV policyholders to inform them of the measures they can take, including possible complaints against the insurer before the competent authorities.
