The opposing groups have spoken out in <strong>&#8220;defense of the prestige and good name of the members of the Ethics and Good Governance Commission of the Consell Insular de Formentera&#8221;. <\/strong> In this sense, they accuse Cordoba of<strong> insulting and discrediting the members<\/strong> based on different journalistic statements. According to the text presented, the president described the Ethics Commission as a<strong>&#8220;firing squad<\/strong>&#8220;. In addition to accusing the Commission of partiality, he pointed out that its report on the institutional crisis of the Consell was an<strong>&#8220;excuse to justify a motion of censure<\/strong>&#8221; and described it as a<strong>&#8220;theatrics<\/strong>&#8220;. &#8220;<strong>The signatory groups cannot allow the insulting and offensive statements of the president of the Consell Insular against the performance of the Commission, a commission that is part of this Consell Insular<\/strong>&#8220;, they have pointed out. <strong>The proposal is at the request of the Commission,<\/strong> considering that Cordoba has violated the Code of Ethics and Good Government of the Consell Insular, which requires institutional respect and prohibits personal disqualifications. Likewise, it is emphasized that the President&#8217;s statements affect not only the reputation of the members of the Commission, but also that of the Island Council itself. Therefore, the Commission expressly &#8220;requests the Plenary of the Consell Insular that, to the extent that such actions harm the highest island institution (in which the Commission is integrated), promote the exercise of the corresponding legal actions against the author, even in the criminal field, without prejudice to those that, personally, may correspond to the members of the Commission individually&#8221;.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>The Ethics Commission&#8217;s defense<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In the document,  <strong>the Ethics Commission defends its actions as impartial and in accordance with the established rules.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>He states that he has worked steadily since September to analyze the institutional crisis of the Consell and to prepare a report, approved on October 2 and formally delivered to the secretary of the Consell.
