The main event will take place on December 4, with the inauguration of a commemorative plaque, a concert by the <strong>Orquesta Sinf\u00f3nica Ciutat d&#8217;Eivissa (OSCE)<\/strong> and an exhibition of 220 drones in the sky above the city. The mayor of Ibiza, <strong>Rafael Triguero<\/strong>, highlighted the importance of this anniversary, underlining the island&#8217;s commitment to the preservation and dissemination of its heritage. According to the mayor, &#8220;heritage is not something static, but lives and renews itself with each generation that visits and enjoys it&#8221;. It was also recalled that Ibiza has boosted its cultural and heritage promotion throughout the year, fostering pride among its residents and strengthening its position as a heritage tourist destination. <\/p>\n<h2><strong>December 4 programming: music and technology<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The day of December 4 will include various events aimed at all citizens. The celebration will begin with the unveiling of a <strong>commemorative plaque<\/strong> in the Old Town Hall, followed by a photographic exhibition in the Cloister that will display 31 images of the properties declared World Heritage. Later, the <strong>Ciutat d&#8217;Eivissa Symphony Orchestra<\/strong> will offer a free concert in the church of Santo Domingo. The repertoire will include works such as Max Bruch&#8217;s <em>Concerto for violin and orchestra<\/em>, with <strong>Lina Tur Bonet<\/strong> as soloist, and Manuel de Falla&#8217;s &#8220;El sombrero de tres picos&#8221;. The event will culminate with a performance of Adolfo Villalonga&#8217;s <em>Rapsodia Patrimonio de la Humanidad<\/em>, conducted by <strong>Fernando Marina<\/strong>. The grand finale of the day will be a technological show from the <strong>Baluarte de Santa Lucia<\/strong>, where 220 drones will light up the sky of Ibiza with synchronized choreography and music. This show, which has already toured other World Heritage cities, promises to be one of the most emblematic moments of the celebration. <\/p>\n<h2><strong>Candlelight in Ibiza Cathedral<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The program will be extended to December 8 with a <strong>Candlelight<\/strong> show at the Cathedral of Ibiza, organized in collaboration with the Bishopric of Ibiza. This event will offer an intimate and magical experience, illuminated only by candles, which will allow to rediscover the beauty of this historic place. <\/p>\n<h2><strong>Free mobility and accessibility<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>To facilitate the participation of citizens, the City Council of Ibiza will provide a <strong>free bus service<\/strong> from Paseo de Vara de Rey to Plaza de Espa\u00f1a. Specific schedules for this service will be announced soon. <\/p>\n<h2><strong>An anniversary with international projection<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The <strong>25th anniversary of the declaration of Ibiza as a World Heritage Site<\/strong>, under the title &#8220;Ibiza, Biodiversity and Culture&#8221;, also coincides with the <strong>30th anniversary of the Group of World Heritage Cities of Spain<\/strong>. This international recognition highlights the exceptional value of assets such as <strong>Dalt Vila<\/strong>, the <strong>Phoenician-Punic necropolis of Puig des Molins<\/strong>, the <strong>Phoenician settlement of Sa Caleta<\/strong>, and the <strong>oceanic posidonia<\/strong> meadows. With an investment of over 2 million euros, the Consell Insular de Ibiza has supported the celebrations with the aim of highlighting the importance of preserving this treasure for future generations.
