The Ibiza Town Hall<\/strong><\/a> has taken a decisive step in the attention to the most vulnerable groups of the island by approving an agreement with the Consell de Ibiza<\/strong> for the construction of the Es Gorg<\/strong> Low Demand Center. This agreement, unanimously approved by the municipal plenary, allocates 7,572,337.33 euros<\/strong> to a project that seeks to offer a second chance to people in a situation of social exclusion. The Councilor for Social Welfare, Lola Pen\u00edn<\/strong>, has stressed the importance of this infrastructure, stressing that “we cannot leave behind the most vulnerable people”. Pen\u00edn also thanked the collaboration between the institutions and the technical effort that has allowed to unblock this project, which aims to ensure better care for those who need it most. The Consell will assume the full financing of the construction, while the City Council will be responsible for the procedures and execution.<\/p>\n

Commitment to social development<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The agreement for the Low Demand Center is in addition to other initiatives debated in the Plenary, such as the regulation of the Capitalidad funds for 2024, destined to essential projects for the urban and social development of the city. These measures seek to improve infrastructure and services, reflecting an ongoing commitment to the welfare of citizens. The session also addressed issues of social relevance, such as an institutional declaration in solidarity with those affected by the DANA<\/strong> in various autonomous communities and another on the occasion of the International Day against violence against women (25N)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A vision for the future of Ibiza<\/strong><\/h2>\n
