The Ibiza Town Hall<\/strong><\/a> closes 2024 with a convincing balance in its fight against waste abandonment and urban cleaning<\/strong>. During the year, a total of 407 infractions have been processed, generating a collection of 539,470.11 euros, consolidating this period as one of the strictest in terms of environmental control. Most of the penalties corresponded to the abandonment of vehicles, with 317 cases registered, totaling more than 507,000 euros in fines<\/strong>. This type of infraction is by far the most costly, as the maximum penalty can reach 100,000 euros per vehicle. The abandonment of urban waste at non-permitted times and places has also been cause for action, with 36 infractions accumulating 4,320 euros in penalties. Added to this are 13 complaints for improper dumping of commercial or industrial waste, totaling 5,200 euros. <\/p>\n

More controls in 2025<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The City Council has pointed out that 2024 has been a key year in the implementation of stricter controls, thanks to the modification of the municipal ordinance that allowed for increased surveillance and stiffer fines<\/strong>. Looking ahead to 2025, the intention is to further intensify inspections in order to move towards a cleaner and more sustainable city. Complaints for not picking up pet excrement amounted to 1,440 euros, while the abandonment of waste excluded from municipal management generated 14,407 euros in penalties. On the other hand, fines for dumping wastewater and other polluting liquids totaled 1,520 euros, highlighting the importance of avoiding contamination of public roads and water. <\/p>\n

Citizen tools: the green line<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The City Council has recalled the usefulness of the green line, a service that allows citizens to report incidents or infractions related to cleanliness. This tool has become a fundamental pillar to promote collaboration between authorities and neighbors in the construction of a cleaner and safer city. <\/p>\n
