These measures were active since Monday and had generated concern on the coast of the islands, especially in areas prone to suffer the onslaught of wind and waves. With the improvement of conditions, the severity index 0 (IG-0) of the Meteobal plan ceases to apply in both islands. The adverse conditions that prevailed for several days have given way to a more stable environment, allowing residents and visitors to enjoy the Christmas celebrations in a safer and calmer environment.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/actualidad\/2024\/12\/24\/nueva-cancelacion-de-la-naviera-balearia-en-la-ruta-ibiza-formentera-por-mal-tiempo\/?swcfpc=1\">New cancellation of the Balearia shipping company on the Ibiza-Formentera route due to bad weather conditions.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Alerts persist in Mallorca and Menorca<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Although the situation has improved in the Pitiusas, in Mallorca and Menorca weather conditions remain complicated. In Menorca, an orange warning for winds of up to 80 kilometers per hour and waves of between five and six meters will be in force until midnight this Sunday. <\/strong>  Meanwhile, Mallorca maintains yellow warnings in the north, northeast and in the Serra de Tramuntana, where wind gusts can reach 60 kilometers per hour and waves up to four meters. These alerts remind of the importance of extreme caution on the coast of both islands, especially for those who perform activities on the coast or near areas affected by waves.<\/p>\n<h2>Impact of the storm on the Pitiusas Islands<\/h2>\n<p>In the previous days, Ibiza and Formentera faced episodes of intense wind and significant swell, which affected maritime connections and activities on the coast. Although conditions have improved, authorities insist that citizens continue to be cautious in areas that may have suffered damage or alterations due to the storm. <\/p>\n<h2>A safer Christmas<\/h2>\n<p>With the improvement of the weather, the islands will be able to enjoy the Christmas festivities without major setbacks.
