In 2024, <strong>250,000 euros<\/strong> were earmarked for these grants, with maximum amounts of <strong>1,807.73 euros<\/strong> for those under 35 and over 65, considered groups with greater difficulty in assuming this expense. For the rest of the applicants, the subsidies covered up to <strong>1,600 euros<\/strong>, equivalent to two monthly rent payments. The application process, which began with <strong>241 requests<\/strong>, ended with the approval of <strong>169 grants<\/strong>, after a process of evaluation and resolution of allegations.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/actualidad\/2024\/12\/24\/el-boe-publica-el-decreto-que-aprueba-el-nuevo-registro-unico-de-alquileres-de-corta-duracion-como-funciona-y-que-dice-airbnb\/?swcfpc=1\">BOE publishes the decree approving the new single registry of short-term rentals: how it works and what Airbnb says<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Context and municipal declarations<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Access to housing is one of the most persistent problems on the island. According to the councilman of Economic Promotion, Finance and Economy, <strong>Miguel Tur<\/strong>, these aids are a direct response to this problem: &#8220;We know that many families face great difficulties in accessing decent housing, so we have worked for this measure to be implemented in an agile and effective way. However, this is only one step in a structural problem that requires more solutions&#8221;. <\/p>\n<h2><strong>Compatibility and new criteria<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The subsidies are compatible with other subsidies from public administrations, and this year new features have been introduced, such as the updating of the income limits for applying for support. These modifications are intended to reflect the current reality of the real estate market and to extend the scope of the aid to a greater number of families in a situation of vulnerability. Despite the progress achieved with this call, the City Council points out that much remains to be done to ensure access to decent housing in Santa Eul\u00e0ria.
