The consultation will be open for <strong>10 days<\/strong> on the website of the Directorate General of Ports and Maritime Transport, allowing citizens, organizations and entities of the sector to express their opinion and provide suggestions on the key issues to be addressed. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/actualidad\/2024\/12\/31\/record-de-sanciones-por-charteres-nauticos-ilegales-en-baleares-462-200-euros-en-multas\/?swcfpc=1\">Record fines for illegal nautical charters in the Balearics: 462,200 euros in fines<\/a><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Councilor for the Sea and Water Cycle, <strong>Juan Manuel Lafuente<\/strong>, presented this initiative at a press conference, highlighting the importance of updating the regulations to adapt them to the new realities of the sector. <strong>&#8220;Nautical rental is strategic for our community because of its economic impact and the need to ensure that it is developed in a safe, transparent and sustainable way,&#8221;<\/strong> Lafuente stated. Since the approval of Decree 21\/2017, both state and autonomous regulations have changed, <strong>making a review necessary to<\/strong> contemplate the growth of the sector and new demands. The general director of Ports and Maritime Transport, Antoni Mercant, also intervened, stressing the need to strengthen control over nautical rentals and facilitate regulatory compliance through digital tools. After completing the public consultation, the Govern will analyze all the contributions received and <strong>will work on drafting a proposal to amend the Decree<\/strong>.
