The president of the Consell de Mallorca<\/strong>, Lloren\u00e7 Galm\u00e9s, and the insular councilor of Tourism, Jos\u00e9 Marcial Rodr\u00edguez, will appear this Thursday in extraordinary plenary sessions to respond to the accusations against Rodr\u00edguez, who allegedly tried to assault the head of inspection of his department. The appearances, scheduled for 3 p.m., were requested by the PSIB and M\u00c9S per Mallorca<\/strong> groups after the complaint became known last Friday. <\/p>\n

However, the spokespersons of the PSIB, Catalina Cladera, and M\u00c9S, Jaume Alzamora, have demanded his immediate dismissal. Cladera called the facts “nonsense” and asked Galm\u00e9s a similar action to that applied in the case of Pilar Bonet, former Minister of Finance. <\/p>\n

    Beyond the dismissal, Cladera demanded an audit of Rodriguez’s management of the Tourism Department during his term of office. He also pointed out possible irregularities in files related to agrotourism and an alleged manipulation of data to favor political interests. <\/p>\n

    Alzamora considered the accusations “serious” and stressed that, if Galm\u00e9s does not take action against Rodr\u00edguez, he will share responsibility for the facts. Both spokesmen insisted on investigating whether the president had prior knowledge of the situation. <\/p>\n
