The project, which has been a priority on the local agenda for years, represents a crucial step towards diversifying the island&#8217;s tourism offer and extending the season.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>A long awaited work to transform Santa Eul\u00e0ria<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Awarded to the joint venture formed by <strong>Tecopsa<\/strong> and <strong>Hermanos Parrot<\/strong>, the works have a budget of <strong>33.78 million euros<\/strong> and a completion period of <strong>30 months<\/strong>. This phase will begin with the construction of a <strong>subway parking lot<\/strong> which will occupy a total surface <strong>area<\/strong> of <strong>21,654.57 m\u00b2<\/strong> distributed over two floors. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h5><a href=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/actualidad\/2024\/10\/30\/el-turismo-de-congresos-refuerza-su-presencia-en-ibiza-con-el-mice-summit-2024\/?swcfpc=1\">Congress tourism reinforces its presence in Ibiza with the MICE Summit 2024<\/a><\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The second floor will combine <strong>31 spaces for motorcycles<\/strong>, <strong>278 for cars<\/strong> (including <strong>14 accessible<\/strong>) and loading and unloading areas for trailers and vans, while the second floor will be dedicated exclusively to vehicle parking. During the construction period, the existing parking lot will be closed to vehicular traffic, which could cause occasional inconveniences in the area. <\/p>\n<h2><strong>A versatile and modern space for events<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The design of the <strong>Palacio de Congresos<\/strong> not only focuses on functionality, but also on versatility. One of the highlights will be an <strong>open-plan space of 2,500 m\u00b2<\/strong>, adaptable to different configurations according to the needs of the organizers. In addition, it will have <strong>meeting rooms of different sizes<\/strong> and an <strong>assembly hall with capacity for 1,000 people<\/strong>, designed to host conferences, fairs and large-scale events. With this infrastructure, Santa Eul\u00e0ria reinforces its capacity to compete in the international events sector, consolidating itself as an ideal destination for congresses in a unique environment.  <\/p>\n<h2><strong>European-backed financing<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The project has obtained significant financial backing thanks to <strong>European Union<\/strong> aid, through the <strong>Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan<\/strong> and <strong>NextGenerationEU<\/strong> funds, which provided <strong>6.5 million euros<\/strong>. In addition, it has a <strong>10 million euro<\/strong> allocation from the Balearic Government&#8217;s <strong>Sustainable Tourism Tax (ITS)<\/strong>, with new applications underway to complete the funding. <\/p>\n<p><strong>A boost for off-season tourism<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The implementation of this infrastructure not only promises benefits for the local economy, but also reinforces the objective of <strong>deseasonalizing tourism<\/strong> in Ibiza.
