After being rescued from neglect and abuse, these dogs are ready to turn their lives around. <a href=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/actualidad\/2025\/01\/05\/los-bomberos-de-ibiza-salvan-a-un-perro-en-un-dramatico-rescate-en-cala-den-serra\/?swcfpc=1\"><strong>dogs<\/strong><\/a> from the <strong>Sa Coma Animal Protection Center<\/strong> are looking for a second chance in a home that offers them love and care. <strong>The Councilor for Animal Welfare, Manuel Jim\u00e9nez, has stressed the importance of the work done by the Sa Coma team to rehabilitate these animals<\/strong>. &#8220;These dogs have lived through difficult situations, but thanks to the efforts of professionals, they are now ready to live with a family,&#8221; said Jim\u00e9nez, who also recalled that the City Council of Eivissa has eliminated the adoption fee to facilitate the process for those interested. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h5><a href=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/actualidad\/2025\/01\/14\/perro-detector-de-la-guardia-civil-localiza-mas-de-100-gramos-de-marihuana-en-un-autobus-en-sant-josep\/?swcfpc=1\">Guardia Civil drug dog locates more than 100 grams of marijuana on a bus in Sant Josep<\/a><\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Stories marked by abandonment<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Max<\/strong> arrived at Sa Coma in December 2020, following a police tip-off reporting mistreatment. Born in 2017, he suffered a trauma that left physical and emotional sequelae. Thanks to comprehensive treatment, today he is a healthy dog, full of energy and ready to be adopted. <strong>Lobo<\/strong>, a Caucasian shepherd born in 2017, was rescued in 2021 after being found chained in a house where he lacked basic care. Although wary at first, he is affectionate with those who give him affection. <strong>Terry<\/strong>, nearly a decade old, arrived at the center in 2023 in a malnourished state and with untreated leishmaniasis. Now, after months of care, he is an active and loving dog, ideal for a home with outdoor space. <strong>Cabez\u00f3n<\/strong>, born in 2018, arrived at Sa Coma after the death of his owner. <strong>He is<\/strong>extremely affectionate with people, although he prefers to be the only animal at home. <strong>Tipo<\/strong>, rescued in 2021 in critical condition, has made a full recovery, although he needs special attention with his diet. Finally, <strong>Roy<\/strong>, who arrived in 2024 because his owners could no longer care for him, has overcome his separation anxiety and is ready to find a new home.  <\/p>\n<h2><strong>Adopting, an act of love that transforms lives<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The center&#8217;s veterinarian,<strong> Miguel Qui\u00f1ones<\/strong>, has highlighted the progress of these six dogs and the dedication each has received to overcome their traumas. &#8220;These animals are not only ready physically, but also emotionally, to become loyal and loving companions,&#8221; he said. In addition to promoting adoptions, the Sa Coma Center invites citizens to participate as volunteers. Walking the dogs or collaborating in the center&#8217;s tasks are ways to support this work and improve the animals&#8217; quality of life. <\/p>\n<h2><strong>How to adopt or collaborate<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The adoption process is simple and free, and the center&#8217;s team offers support at every step. For those who wish to meet these six dogs or participate as volunteers, the Sa Coma Center is located on the road to Sant Antoni, behind Sa Coma, and is open in the mornings and afternoons.
