{"id":82401,"date":"2025-01-22T12:16:58","date_gmt":"2025-01-22T11:16:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/sin-categorizar\/2025\/01\/22\/ibiza-luxury-destination-prepares-a-luxury-b2b-event-to-connect-the-private-sector-with-international-tourism-agencies\/"},"modified":"2025-01-22T12:16:58","modified_gmt":"2025-01-22T11:16:58","slug":"ibiza-luxury-destination-prepares-a-luxury-b2b-event-to-connect-the-private-sector-with-international-tourism-agencies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/en\/current-news\/ibiza-luxury-destination-prepares-a-luxury-b2b-event-to-connect-the-private-sector-with-international-tourism-agencies\/","title":{"rendered":"Ibiza Luxury Destination prepares a luxury B2B event to connect the private sector with international tourism agencies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Within the framework of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/?swcfpc=1\">International Tourism Fair (Fitur)<\/a>, Ibiza Luxury Destination (ILD)<\/strong> has announced this Tuesday <strong>an important B2B event<\/strong> to be held from <strong>October 7 to 10<\/strong> in Ibiza, which will bring together the private sector with <strong>40 luxury tourism agencies from Europe and North America<\/strong>, with the aim of consolidating the island as a destination of global excellence.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/actualidad\/2025\/01\/22\/ibiza-luxury-destination-se-reinventa-los-cinco-valores-clave\/?swcfpc=1\">Ibiza Luxury Destination is reinventing itself: the five key values<\/a><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Alex Roca<\/strong>, event director of the British company <strong>Journeys<\/strong>, has spoken to La Voz de Ibiza from <strong>IFEMA Madrid<\/strong> to tell what his collaboration with ILD is all about in what will be its fifth annual event, to which <strong>&#8220;we will invite up to 40 luxury travel agencies from the North American and European markets, with special emphasis on the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain&#8221;.<\/strong>&#8220;Instead of having a travel agent fly from New York to Ibiza, and locking them up in a conference center or hotel room, the idea is to organize <strong> <em>one-to-one<\/em> meetings in iconic locations in Ibiza<\/strong>: we will start <strong>in the morning at the 7Pines Resort<\/strong> and we are evaluating options such as <strong>going to Dalt Vila for midday<\/strong>, having more meetings there, and in the afternoon <strong>taking them on a boat to watch a sunset,&#8221;<\/strong> he explained. In this way, in addition to facilitating contact between local businesspeople and tourism agents, the latter &#8220;will be able to experience what the destination has to offer.&#8221; &#8221; <strong>In the end, when they return to their countries, there is nothing better than having lived an immersive experience to then be able to sell the destination to their clients,&#8221;<\/strong> added Roca.<\/p>\n<h2>A &#8220;small Fitur&#8221; in Ibiza<\/h2>\n<p>This <strong>&#8220;small Fitur&#8221;<\/strong> will be the <strong>fifth event<\/strong> to be held by the British company in 2025, with the intention of making it <strong>a fixed date on the calendar going forward<\/strong>. &#8220;We would love for this to become an annual event where we can expose the destination to different agencies, help the private sector promote itself at home and not have to go to other luxury fairs to showcase itself.&#8221; &#8220;We have a community with more than <strong>5 thousand luxury travel agencies globally<\/strong> and from there we will select, within the aforementioned markets, those that are most relevant to the destination and have the most potential,&#8221; Roca said. &#8220;We have to find <strong>a balance<\/strong> between agencies that do not know the island or the product, with agencies that have already had an experience selling but have not been there for long, or that have never been there but have a contact they want to reinforce,&#8221; he added. &#8220;We are going to work <strong>side by side<\/strong> with Ibiza Luxury Destination <strong>to open the doors to the island and give us the best recommendations<\/strong> so that we can offer the best experience to guests.
