This measure, led by <strong>Ports de les Illes Balears (PortsIB)<\/strong> and the <strong>Regional Ministry of the Sea and Water Cycle<\/strong>, is part of the <strong>Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan<\/strong>, financed by the European Next Generation EU funds.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h5><a href=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/actualidad\/2025\/01\/23\/cala-de-bou-en-crisis-vecinos-denuncian-vertidos-fecales-y-exigen-reparaciones-urgentes\/?swcfpc=1\">Cala de Bou in crisis: neighbors denounce fecal spills and demand urgent repairs<\/a><\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>A project with environmental impact<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The contract, which also includes the port of Ciutadella in Menorca, has a total investment of <strong>296,958 euros.<\/strong> Of this budget, <strong>225,000 euros<\/strong> come from European MRR funds. In addition to the installation of equipment, the project includes its maintenance for the next four years. Interested parties may submit their bids until <strong>January 31, 2025<\/strong> through the Public Sector Procurement Platform. The system includes <strong>six measuring stations<\/strong> spread between the two ports, capable of providing real-time data on air quality, noise levels and other meteorological variables. All the information will be integrated into a management platform that will enable reports to be generated, alerts to be issued and detailed analysis to be carried out. <\/p>\n<h2><strong>Commitment to sustainability<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>With this project, the Government seeks to move towards a more efficient and transparent environmental management in the ports of the Balearic Islands.
