In addition, he criticized that the board of directors has acted &#8220;on the sly&#8221; in a process that, in his opinion, has been plagued with irregularities. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h5><a href=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/deportes\/2024\/11\/11\/dimite-el-vicepresidente-de-la-federacion-balear-de-futbol-tras-el-incidente-en-sant-joan\/?swcfpc=1\">Vice-president of the Balearic Football Federation resigns after incident in Sant Joan<\/a><\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>A resignation that Planells denies<\/h2>\n<p><strong>The BOIB states that Currun\u00e9&#8217;s departure is due to his &#8220;resignation&#8221;, but what is most striking is that the publication mentions two different dates for his supposed resignation: November 26, 2024 and January 13, 2025.<\/strong>  Subsequently, the document ends up acknowledging his termination, which has generated even more confusion about the procedure followed by the Federation.<\/p>\n<p>The trigger for this controversy dates back to November, after a youth match played at the Sant Miquel field between Penya Independent and Andratx. After the match, there were serious incidents with aggressions between players and fans. In this context, a video was released showing Currun\u00e9, who has denied at all times having participated in any violent act.  <\/p>\n<p>Initially, it was reported that he had resigned, but the former manager has flatly denied that version and maintains that the facts have proven him right. According to Currun\u00e9, the only complaint filed with the Guardia Civil by Andratx was directed against two Penya Independent players, not against him. <\/p>\n<h2>Complaint against a representative of Andratx<\/h2>\n<p><strong>In addition to his disagreement with his dismissal, Currun\u00e9 has announced that he has filed a complaint against a representative of Andratx, who publicly accused him of assaulting a minor in the incidents that occurred after the match<\/strong>. The complaint, as well as the one filed against the two players, is being processed in the courts of Palma. <\/p>\n<p>In this sense, the former vice president has regretted the lack of support from the Balearic Football Federation at a complicated time for him: &#8220;I thought that when unfair accusations are made, we are here to help each other,&#8221; he said. He also pointed out that no one from the federation has contacted him since the events occurred. <\/p>\n<h2>Horrach insists that Planells resigned<\/h2>\n<p>From the Balearic Football Federation, Jordi Horrach has defended that Currun\u00e9 did present his resignation after the altercations in November, sending an email announcing his resignation.
