{"id":84782,"date":"2025-02-05T21:09:40","date_gmt":"2025-02-05T20:09:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/sin-categorizar\/2025\/02\/05\/formentera-prepares-for-the-xi-edition-of-the-walk-and-run-for-women\/"},"modified":"2025-02-05T21:09:40","modified_gmt":"2025-02-05T20:09:40","slug":"formentera-prepares-for-the-xi-edition-of-the-walk-and-run-for-women","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/en\/current-news\/formentera-prepares-for-the-xi-edition-of-the-walk-and-run-for-women\/","title":{"rendered":"Formentera prepares for the XI edition of the Walk and Run for Women"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The<a href=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/actualidad\/2025\/02\/04\/cuenta-atras-para-los-chiringuitos-de-formentera-la-insumision-a-desmontar-es-motivo-de-rescision-fulminante-de-la-concesion\/?swcfpc=1\"><strong> Consell de Formentera<\/strong><\/a>through the Department of Sports, has announced the celebration of the XI edition of the Walk and Run for Women, a sports and solidarity event that will take place on Sunday, March 9.<\/p>\n<p>In collaboration with the <strong>Spanish Association Against Cancer of Formentera (AECC)<\/strong> and<strong> Espacio Mujeres<\/strong>, the race will again bring together hundreds of participants in a day of sport and social awareness.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h5><a href=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/formentera\/2025\/02\/05\/el-consell-de-formentera-propondra-aumentar-la-cuota-de-vehiculos-de-residentes-de-ibiza-en-2025\/?swcfpc=1\">The Consell de Formentera will propose to increase the vehicle quota for Ibiza residents in 2025.<\/a><\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>A route of 8 kilometers starting and finishing in Sant Francesc.<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The race, which last year was attended by about 350 people, will start at 10:00 am from the Plaza de la Constituci\u00f3n in Sant Francesc. Both the walk and the race will share a single 8-kilometer route, with destination in Can Marroig and return to the starting point. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Registration is now open and can be made at the Polideportivo Antoni Blanc, at the AECC information table in the Plaza de la Constituci\u00f3n or on the day of the event<\/strong>, one hour before the start of the race.<\/p>\n<p>The registration fee is 10 euros, and the proceeds will go entirely to the AECC Formentera, in order to support their programs of prevention, awareness and research against cancer.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Solidarity Paella to close the day<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>At the end of the walk and the race, attendees can enjoy a solidarity paella organized by the AECC in the tent in the parking lot of Sa Senieta. The meal will have the collaboration of the Gastronomic Association Es Forn, whose cooks will prepare a popular paella with a price of 15 euros per person. <\/p>\n<p>The Walk and Run for Women has become an emblematic event in Formentera, promoting healthy lifestyle habits and community involvement in the fight against cancer.
