These are included in the almost 450 announced by the Government during the plenary session of the Parliament on Tuesday, a fact that the regional executive has valued very positively. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/actualidad\/2025\/02\/11\/el-govern-anuncia-avances-en-alquiler-seguro-tras-meses-de-estancamiento\/?swcfpc=1\">The Govern announces progress on &#8216;Alquiler Seguro&#8217; after months of stagnation<\/a><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>During his participation in the plenary session, the Councilor for Housing, Jos\u00e9 Luis Mateo, explained that 150 homes are in the advanced process of accession and that another 300 have submitted the necessary documentation and meet the requirements.<\/p>\n<p>The Conseller\u00eda has expanded this information for <strong>La Voz de Ibiza<\/strong>. Of the total number of homes in process, 41 belong to the largest of the Pitiusas islands, while 347 are in Mallorca and 31 in Menorca. There are still no homes in sight in Formentera.  <\/p>\n<p>In turn, of these 41 homes in Ibiza, <strong>11 homes are in an advanced process of adhesion, while another 30 are in the process of being processed and meet the requirements<\/strong> to participate in the program.<\/p>\n<h2>The positive assessment of the Govern<\/h2>\n<p>Mateo&#8217;s announcement came in response to a query from the Socialist deputy, Carol Marqu\u00e9s, who asked him how many homes have been added to the &#8216;Safe Rent&#8217; program and how many families already live in these homes, after four months of its implementation. Mateo replied that &#8220;this program is alive&#8221; and that in recent weeks the professional associations that collaborate &#8211; the Balearic Property Administrators (Cafbal) and the Real Estate Agents (COAPI) &#8211; have done &#8220;a great job of training&#8221; and answering all the doubts of the owners. <\/p>\n<p>Although it was originally expected that contracts would have been signed before the end of 2024, the Govern has welcomed these figures. &#8220;The assessment is positive, and that applies to all the islands. It is a new program and it <strong>is starting to roll and pick up speed<\/strong>,&#8221; said the Conseller\u00eda. The expectation is that in the next few weeks the first contracts will be signed.   <\/p>\n<p>Faced with criticism from the opposition for the delay in the first fruits of the program, Mateo insisted that &#8220;everything is new for the apis, property managers and citizens&#8221;. And he clarified that the program is still in a phase of attracting housing, because with the extension of the budget the Govern opted &#8220;to analyze the new situation&#8221; to &#8220;give maximum legal certainty to the operations&#8221;. <\/p>\n<p>The Minister also reported that Cafbal has already visited more than 100 of the homes throughout the Balearic Islands that meet the requirements and are in the process of applying for membership.<\/p>\n<p>In the first months, as reported by La Voz de Ibiza, the program has aroused little interest.
