Tras meses sin fecha de apertura, las instalaciones provisionales de Botafoc y La Savina han entrado en funcionamiento coincidiendo con la llegada de más de un centenar de personas a las Pitiusas en apenas 48 horas. Según la Delegación del Gobierno, Policía Nacional, Guardia Civil y Salvamento Marítimo han tenido que activar 17 operativos de rescate mientras continúan las obras del módulo previsto en el puerto de Palma.

According to the Government Delegation, National Police, Civil Guard and Maritime Rescue have had to activate 17 rescue operations while the works of the module planned in the port of Palma continue.

La embarcación, con 26 personas de origen magrebí a bordo, fue localizada a apenas media milla al norte de la isla. Con esta interceptación y otra registrada en Cabrera, Baleares suma ya nueve pateras y 197 migrantes en una sola jornada.
