In this edition, the 10K will also be the scene of the Spanish Championship of 10K on the road, both in absolute and veteran categories, consolidating itself as a reference event for athletics and sports tourism on the island.
The appeal of the 10K Ibiza-Platja d’en Bossa crosses borders. According to the organization,
The race also holds elite records: the current records belong to Kenyan Benson Kiplangat (27:18) and his compatriot Miriam Chebet (30:40), times that place it among the fastest 10K races in Spain.
The 2026 edition will be held again with the seal of tourist interest of the Consell de Ibiza and the support of the Ajuntament de Sant Josep de sa Talaia, reaffirming the commitment of the organization with sport, sustainability and the international projection of Ibiza as a reference destination within the national sports calendar.

]]>The mayor stressed that this will be the first edition of the event that runs entirely within the municipality of Sant Josep, a fact that reinforces the commitment of the City Council with the promotion of sport and active tourism.
For his part, Salvador Losa stressed the importance of the 10K within the national calendar and stressed the support of the Consell Insular to sports initiatives that contribute to position Ibiza as an ideal destination for sports tourism. From the organization, Dani Becerra has assured that the goal of this fifth edition is that each runner, whether professional or amateur, live an unforgettable experience and take away an indelible memory of the race.
The 10K Ibiza-Platja d’en Bossa will have a luxury line-up this year, bringing together some of the best athletes on the international scene. Among them, Thierry Ndikumwenayo, the first Spanish athlete to run under 27 minutes in a 10K and a finalist in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, will be present. Mélody Julien, member of the French national team and marathon runner at this summer’s Olympic Games, will also participate.
Along with them will be Rodrigue Kwizera, Burundi record holder and current leader of the World Cross Country, as well as Andrea Romero, athlete from Formentera who holds the Balearic records of 10K and 5K. In addition, the race will be attended by a legend of Spanish athletics, Fermín Cacho, Olympic gold medalist in 1,500 meters in the 1992 Barcelona Games and silver medalist in Atlanta 1996.
The legendary Spanish athlete will not only be present at the race, but will also participate in previous activities open to the public. This Saturday, February 8, he will lead a training session at the Sirena in Platja d’en Bossa under the name Actívate con Cacho, where he will share tips and perform a soft running session followed by stretching with the attendees.
On the same day, at 5:00 pm, he will give a talk at the Can Jeroni Cultural Center on the importance of mental health in sport, addressing how emotional well-being influences sports performance and the lives of athletes.
Due to the celebration of the race, the organization has announced traffic cuts at several key points of the route. The Ses Salines road (EI-900) will be closed from 8:50 to 9:30 a.m., although between 7:00 and 8:50 a.m. vehicles will be able to use an alternative detour.
In the area of Platja d’en Bossa, the stretch between the Hotel Palladium and Murtra Street will be closed from 9:15 to 10:00 am. The organization has requested the cooperation of residents and visitors to plan their movements and avoid inconveniences during the celebration of the event.

]]>As reported, the Ses Salines road will be closed to traffic from 8:50 to 9:30 am. And before, from 7:00 to 8:50 hours, vehicles that have to enter or leave the road should use the alternative detour of Carnes José Ferrá.
As for the area of Platja d’en Bossa, the stretch between the Hotel Palladium and Murtra street, with the intersection of Alzines street, will be closed to traffic from 9:15 to 10:00 am.
The organization has requested the cooperation of citizens to plan their trips and not be affected during the time when the race is underway.
