La entrada Air offers to start the year: Ibiza-Madrid from 11 euros se publicó primero en La Voz De Ibiza.
]]>In the case of Ibiza, flights to Madrid start from 11 euros, while from Palma you can find fares from 12 euros, with the resident discount already applied. All prices are for one-way flights, provided that the return flight is also purchased.
The promotion extends to nearly 20 domestic and international destinations served by Iberia Express, including routes on the Iberian Peninsula, the Canary Islands and abroad. The campaign will be active until January 26, which limits the margin to access these reduced fares, according to the airline.
The commercial director of Iberia Express, Isabel Rodríguez, stressed that the ‘Express Days’ have become one of the most important promotions of the company, offering «very attractive discounts to start the year flying» and stimulate demand until Easter.
To access these fares, it is essential to register for free in the Express Club, which also gives access to future promotions and the in-flight entertainment service, according to the company.

]]>According to information published by the specialized website Aviación Mundial, flight VY6936, which had departed from Paris to Ibiza airport, emitted the emergency code squawk 7700, a signal used in aviation to alert air traffic controllers of a critical situation. At that time, the causes of the incident had not been clarified.
The plane landed at Clermont-Ferrand Auvergne airport, a regional airport located in central France, some 420 kilometers south of Paris, which has a runway suitable for commercial operations and is regularly used as an alternative airport for diversions due to technical or meteorological incidents. Its location makes it a frequent point for safety landings of flights from the French capital.
According to Periódico de Ibiza, Vueling confirmed that the incident was due to a technical problem, which forced to interrupt the flight shortly after take-off. The aforementioned media reported that the passengers would be relocated to another plane to continue their trip to Ibiza.
The airline has not publicly detailed the specific nature of the technical failure, although it has stressed that the landing was carried out normally and without personal injury, in line with the safety procedures established for this type of situation.
The incident affected a flight scheduled to arrive in Ibiza in the middle of the busy season, when the island’s airport has an intense traffic of international connections, especially with France and other European countries.

]]>The increase is part of the airline’s Christmas campaign, which will increase the total number of seats offered between December 17 and January 9 by almost 27,000, 60% more than last year.
The special operation includes more than 130 additional flights, supported by the incorporation of new Boeing 787 Dreamliner units for long-haul and Boeing 737 MAX on short and medium-haul routes. This reinforcement seeks to absorb the increase in demand typical of the Christmas season, especially in the archipelagos.
In Europe, Air Europa will increase by almost 80% the additional capacity in destinations with Christmas tradition such as Munich, Zurich, Rome and Milan, approaching 8,000 extra seats. The company highlights the strong demand in European cities with high tourist activity in December, a common trend at this time of year.
The long-haul segment is also strengthened with an increase of more than 63% on routes to Miami, Punta Cana and Santiago de los Caballeros, which will add more than 7,000 additional seats. In the Dominican Republic, the increase will exceed 5,200 seats.
In Spain, in addition to the reinforcement in the Balearic Islands, the airline will add more than 3,200 seats on its routes to the Canary Islands. In the case of Ibiza, Air Europa has not detailed how many additional seats it will operate, despite being part of the set of Peninsula-Balearic routes included in the announced increase.

]]>La entrada Congress approves extending resident discount to separated parents visiting Ibiza se publicó primero en La Voz De Ibiza.
]]>The non-legislative proposal was defended by the national deputy of VOX for the Balearic Islands, Jorge Campos, who celebrated its approval in the Commission of Territorial Policy. According to the deputy, the measure aims to «guarantee family ties» and prevent transport costs from being an obstacle for parents and children separated for judicial reasons. «Families cannot continue to be victims of legislation designed with their backs turned to their reality,» said Campos.
VOX stresses that this is a correction of the current system, which penalizes those who, for example, live on the mainland but must visit their children in Ibiza, or care for dependent relatives on the island. The new regime would seek to equalize rights and «eliminate inequalities resulting from complex family situations«.
The initiative, which urges the government to modify the current regulations, contemplates three main cases:
Non-custodial parents or parents with shared custody who have to travel to Ibiza to exercise their visitation regime.
Unemancipated minors who must travel from outside the islands to visit their resident parent.
People with ascendants in a situation of dependency who reside in Ibiza or in the rest of the extrapeninsular territories.
Campos harshly criticized the Balearic PSOE, especially the deputies Pepe Mercadal and Milena Herrera, for voting against a proposal that «directly benefits thousands of families in the islands«. VOX described this attitude as «hypocritical» and denounced that «the PSOE of Armengol shows its paw against the resident discount«, even accusing the Government of proposing that the payment of the discount falls on the autonomous communities.

]]>La entrada Vox proposes extending air discounts for separated parents visiting Ibiza se publicó primero en La Voz De Ibiza.
]]>The proposal seeks to extend this rebate system, currently limited to residents, to also apply to:
Non-custodial fathers and mothers who, according to a court order, must travel to Ibiza or other islands to exercise their right of visitation or shared custody of minor children.
Unemancipated minors who reside outside the Balearic Islands but wish to visit the parent residing in the islands with whom they share custody.
Non-residents who have an ascendant in first degree in situation of dependency living in the Balearic archipelago.
This approach would positively affect many parents and family members who have to travel to Ibiza from the mainland and who currently do not benefit from the 75% discount on air and sea travel, even though the reason for the trip is legal and justified.
The non-legislative proposal being debated in Congress is not binding, so it does not imply an immediate modification of the regulations. However, it seeks to urge the Government to study legislative changes to include these cases in the transport aid system.
This move by Vox joins other recently discussed initiatives to improve Ibiza’s connectivity and make travel more accessible, especially for family situations that directly affect minors or dependents.
