]]>According to the forecast, the day will begin with clear or slightly cloudy skies, especially during the early morning and early hours, while from noon onwards the cloudiness will increase occasionally. Temperatures will remain mild, with minimum values around 8 degrees and maximums reaching 15 degrees. The thermal sensation will be similar, without great contrasts throughout the day.
The wind will blow from the northeast, light to moderate, with gusts of around 10 kilometers per hour, although it will tend to ease in some parts of the day. Relative humidity will be high, with maximum values close to 90%.
Looking ahead to the first days of January, the weather will remain stable. On Thursday, January 1, skies will be partly cloudy or with high clouds, without significant precipitation, and temperatures will be slightly lower, with highs of 14 degrees and lows of 7. On Friday, January 2, the weather will remain stable, with a slight rise in temperatures and a moderate southwest wind.
However, the weekend will bring a change of trend. From Saturday, January 3, the probability of rain will increase significantly, which could reach 60%, with cloudy skies and light rainfall. On Sunday 4 and Monday 5 a more unstable episode is expected, with widespread rain, overcast skies and moderate to strong wind from the east and northeast, with gusts that could exceed 50 kilometers per hour. Temperatures will drop gradually, with highs around 13 degrees at the beginning of next week.

]]>As reported by 112 in a message disseminated through its official account on the social network X, the activation of the plan responds to the forecast of episodes of rain that could affect both islands during the next few hours.
In view of this situation, the Emergency Department has recommended taking preventive measures to avoid the entry of water into homes, remove or secure objects and furniture located outdoors that could be swept away by the water, as well as avoiding access to flood-prone areas.
Likewise, 112 has requested extreme caution when driving, especially on secondary roads and areas where water may accumulate, and to remember the importance of not crossing flooded stretches.
On the other hand, the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has reported that it will activate from 23.00 hours the yellow warning for coastal phenomena in Menorca. The warning will be in force until 11.00 am the next day, during which period wind gusts of between 50 and 60 kilometers per hour and waves up to three meters high are expected.

]]>According to the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), this Friday there will be little cloudy skies in the Pitiusas, with low probability of some weak and isolated showers. Temperatures will remain stable or with a slight decrease, and will blow light to moderate wind from the west.
However, the situation will change significantly from the early hours of Saturday morning, when an active front is expected to arrive and bring widespread rainfall, with accumulations that could reach up to 80 liters per square meter in 12 hours.
The AEMET keeps activated the yellow warning for risk of heavy rains in Ibiza and Formentera, and recommends extreme caution due to the possibility of storms and gusts of wind.
The Emergency Service will continue to monitor the weather evolution in the coming hours, while local authorities ask the public to avoid outdoor activities and to plan ahead for travel during the weekend.

]]>«We’re a little sick of it. This month has been very dirty «lamented a merchant in statements to IB3. Another summarized the general feeling with a dry phrase: «Fifteen minutes of rain and a disaster«. From the association of neighbors and traders of Es Pratet, its president, Carmen Cárcel, was categorical: » The neighborhood smells horrible right now. A lot of cleaning needs to be done in the sewers, they are all clogged. «.

Frustration multiplied on social networks. From a school bus, a user posted videos of
The comments coincided in the diagnosis: lack of maintenance and wrong priorities. «So many expenses for works and we don’t have any drainage system», denounced a neighbor. Another added sarcastically: «But there are new radars, more than ten». Other messages pointed directly at the construction companies or the design of the recent works: «Who did this renovation? They forgot to put in drainage,» a foreign resident reproached.
In all cases, the tone is the same: indignation, weariness and the feeling of repeating a familiar scene.
Citizen anger does not come out of nowhere. Ibiza reaches this new episode with
Since then, the fear of every cloud has grown. «Every time it rains four drops we are flooded,» wrote a neighbor this morning. And, although today’s storm was short, it was enough to show that the system is still at its limit, unable to absorb even an hour of rain.
A postcard was also repeated among shopkeepers in the center of Vila: they set up barriers to prevent water from entering their premises.

The Aemet maintains vigilance: on Saturday new heavy rains are expected, although of shorter duration, which has led the City Council of Ibiza to maintain active its special preventive cleaning plan.
The Consistory already executed on Thursday works in the sewage network and reinforcements in vulnerable areas, especially in Es Pratet and ses Feixes, to improve the evacuation of water and reduce risks before the next storm.
The demand is unanimous: more cleaning, more maintenance and structural solutions. The neighbors ask for a thorough review of the sewage network and a real investment in urban drainage, especially in critical points such as Es Pratet, Can Misses and Playa d’en Bossa.
Meanwhile, in the streets there are still puddles, the smell of stagnant water and the increasingly widespread feeling that Ibiza cannot afford another flood.

]]>The rain, accompanied by intense thunder, began to fall heavily around 7:10 am, especially affecting areas such as Playa d’en Bossa and main roads in the municipality of Ibiza, where traffic jams have been inevitable.
Today’s episode adds to a sequence of extreme phenomena that began in September with the ‘ex-Gabrielle’ squall and continued in October with the ‘Alice’ DANA, both responsible for episodes of torrential rains that have already left their mark on the islands.
Far from being isolated events, storms are beginning to become a common sight in the urban landscape of the Pitiusas.
The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) had activated the yellow alert two days ago and has confirmed that it will be maintained at least until 12:00 noon this Thursday.
Among the forecasts is the possibility of hail and waves of up to three meters at sea, which could affect navigation in the surroundings of Formentera and the Ibizan coast.
The Local Police of Ibiza has reported that, from early in the morning, regulates access to the city due to increased traffic and accumulation of water on public roads.
Through their official channels, the agents have appealed to drivers to exercise extreme caution at the wheel.
«We ask all drivers for patience and caution,» they said, insisting on following three basic recommendations: reduce speed, keep a safe distance and avoid sudden maneuvers or braking.
The objective, they emphasize, is to ensure road safety on a day marked by heavy rains.
