• Ibiza renews its road network: new asphalt resurfacing starts within a plan that exceeds one million euros

The largest project is the rehabilitation of the road surface on the Benirràs road, one of the busiest roads. The tender, valued at 1,186,970.8 euros, includes reinforcement of the road surface, repair of potholes, improvement of drainage with prefabricated caissons, new protections and complete renovation of the horizontal and vertical signage. Companies may submit bids until December 3.

The second contract corresponds to the asphalt paving of the Camino Viejo de Benirràs, whose deterioration is attributed to the continuous passage of heavy vehicles. The budget amounts to 599,617.85 euros, with a completion period of 42 days and a deadline for bids on December 1. The project includes milling, paving and regularization of margins and shoulders, key interventions to return the road to its functionality and safety conditions.

The third tender provides for the resurfacing of several rural roads, specifically Cana Lluca and des Porrals, both publicly owned and regularly used by agricultural vehicles and residents. The investment will be 200,000 euros, with 56 days of execution and deadline for submission of bids until December 3. The works include pothole patching, new wearing course, cleaning of margins and renewed horizontal signaling, actions that will facilitate the circulation in an area with significant agricultural activity.

The City Council insists that «all works will strictly comply with the deadlines and quality standards established by current regulations», reinforcing the municipal commitment to the continuous improvement of road infrastructures.
