La entrada 061 professionals create a solidarity calendar to support AEMIF se publicó primero en La Voz De Ibiza.
]]>The initiative has a twofold objective: to make visible the work carried out by the emergency services on the islands and to contribute financially to the work of an organization that accompanies people affected by neurological diseases and injuries of cerebral and cardiovascular origin. The forecast is to sell 600 units, which would raise between 4,000 and 4,500 euros.
The origin of the calendar dates back to a shift last September. It was then when, informally, several professionals of SAMU 061 began to consider the possibility of promoting a solidarity action. This was explained by Vicente Nadal, UGT delegate in the Balearic Islands of the public company GSAIB, who stressed that the idea came «naturally» among colleagues.
From that conversation came the proposal to create a project that would channel the social commitment of the healthcare community and transform it into direct aid for an association in the surrounding area.
The project was promoted by Mónica Álvarez, nurse; Ángel Crespo, physician; and Vicente Nadal, health emergency technician, a trio representing the main professional categories of the service.
«The objective was to do our bit and help an association in need,» explained the promoters. In that process, the choice of AEMIF was clear. «It works with people suffering from neurological diseases and injuries, many of them linked to emergencies that we deal with on a daily basis,» they pointed out.
Under this premise, the name «Emergencias con Corazón» (Emergencies with Heart) was coined , a name that seeks to reflect the most human side of healthcare work.
The calendar has the altruistic participation of professionals of the land and air medical transport of SAMU 061 and GSAIB in Ibiza and Formentera. To this is added the collaboration of the company AVINCIS, concessionaire of air medical transport of SAMU 061 in the Balearic Islands.
Technicians, nurses, doctors, service managers and personnel linked to the emergency helicopters have collaborated selflessly in this initiative, reinforcing a project that unites solidarity, service vocation and commitment to the Pitiusa society.
If you want, in the next post I can further refine the SEO, adapt the approach to a more local edition or give it a more human or institutional nuance, depending on what you need.

]]>La entrada SAMU: Imminent chaos in Ibiza in the transfer of people with reduced mobility is warned. se publicó primero en La Voz De Ibiza.
]]>However, the UGT warns of imminent chaos in the scheduled transfer of people with reduced mobility due to the shortage of drivers to drive the units that exceed 3,500 kilos.
While Formentera escapes the conflict because it has no ambulance above that weight, in the rest of the islands service workers feel «very mistreated» by Gsaib management, which they accuse of making «deaf ears» since «a year ago» when «the Works Committee reported that to drive the new ambulances would require the C license».
As advanced by La Voz de Ibizathe Govern has made an unforgivable mistake in the bidding documents, which was the cause of the failed contract of ambulances.
Most of the new vehicles exceeded 4,000 kilograms exceeded the 4,000 kilos of weightThe Conselleria de Salud was forced to dismantle part of these ambulances destined for scheduled medical scheduled medical transport.. In contrast, urgent transport ambulances have not been affected.
In Ibiza, only 7 drivers have the C license, so three ambulances were allocated without modifications. However, the UGT warns that there will be an «overload» of these technicians who will do shifts to cover Monday to Saturday from 06.00 to 22.00 hours.

«It is not ruled out that here in Ibiza later on the staff could be planted,» warned this morning from the UGT to La Voz de Ibiza .
The union delegate of UGT in Ibiza and Formentera, Vicente Nadal, explained that the 7 drivers (out of a total of 48) who have the C1 license «have not refused for now».
In any case, he explained that «we put it on the table to the Works Committee that what would happen if they were to leave. They did not know how to respond.
The union warns of an imminent chaos for the scheduled transfer of people with reduced mobility, which must be done in ambulances that have hydraulic ramps that lead the units to an excessive weight.
«All these people who have the C are going to be overloaded. Because, even if they put an attendant on it, they’re going to do all the chair services. They are going to be the only three ambulances for drivers with type C license, with hydraulic ramps that have not changed, which will carry all the work, «Nadal has detailed.
In this regard, he stated that «the services for people with reduced mobility will be provided only by these three ambulances. So the personnel will be overloaded. It will soon affect the work overload.
For that reason, he warns of a similar situation in the pitiusa in the making: «In Ibiza they don’t rule out that it could happen later on. In the long run it will be like this: if I charge the same as a driver who has no C and work more, we’ll see».
On the other hand, he remarked that the position of the UGT is «always to dialogue», although he said that «a year ago the unions suggested negotiations to IbSalut and the councilor. We have sent registered letters. But they have not wanted to sit down to try to solve it. That is why we have reached this situation».

]]>The event took place on a road in the municipality of Sant Josep de Sa Talaia, where the driver lost control of the vehicle and suffered a casual fall, without, according to the information provided by the emergency services, any other vehicle being involved. The causes of the accident are under investigation.
Two Advanced Life Support ambulances (SVA) and one Basic Life Support (SVB) of 061 were sent to the scene. The medical teams activated the severe polytrauma code and performed stabilization maneuvers at the point of the accident, given the severity of the motorcyclist’s condition.
The injured man was taken in very serious condition to the Nuestra Señora del Rosario Clinic. There he finally died hours later despite the efforts of medical personnel.

]]>La entrada The new SAMU 061 ambulances start in Ibiza and Formentera after the controversy se publicó primero en La Voz De Ibiza.
]]>The entry into operation of ambulances occurs in a controversial context after confirming that 122 of the 246 vehicles awarded could not circulate normally because they exceeded 4.000 kilos of weight, which requires the driving license C1. The vast majority of SAMU 061 personnel only have a B license, so these units -mainly those destined for scheduled transport- were practically unusable from the moment they were delivered.
To solve the problem, the Conselleria was forced to dismantle part of the equipment of several units to reduce their weight, thus allowing them to be driven without the need for a higher license. The Conselleria Manuela García assured that this intervention «will not involve any extra cost», a statement that has been questioned by workers and political groups of the opposition, who describe the error as «serious» and «avoidable».
In total, Ibiza already has 38 vehicles -19 for urgent transport and 19 for scheduled transport-, while Formentera operates with four ambulances, three for emergencies and one for non-urgent transport. These units are part of the contract of nearly 56 million euros awarded by the Govern on a leasing basis for the next five years.
The launch was supervised by the Regional Minister of Health, Manuela García, together with the general director of the Health Service, Javier Ureña, and the manager of SAMU 061, Eloy Villalba, at the beginning of a deployment that will continue progressively in the rest of the archipelago until the 246 contracted vehicles are completed.
Beyond the controversy, the Conselleria stresses that the new ambulances incorporate care improvements for patients and professionals. These include:
Air disinfection systems in living quarters.
Electric stretchers in all scheduled transport vehicles.
Hydropneumatic suspension for greater stability in critical patients in emergency ambulances.
Indoor surveillance cameras for continuous patient monitoring.
Hydraulic platforms to facilitate access for wheelchair users.
Redesign of the interior space to improve accessibility and operating comfort.
In addition, the contract incorporates an increase in the number of reserve vehicles, an aspect that the Government considers essential to guarantee the availability of resources in the event of possible breakdowns or increases in demand.
The updating of the fleet is relevant for Ibiza and Formentera, where the territorial structure, population mobility and the frequent need for inter-hospital transfers make SAMU 061 an essential service. The agency has 35 assistance bases in the Balearic Islands and five helipads, and is responsible for both daily emergencies and highly complex, pediatric and air transports, in addition to coordinating medical devices in incidents with multiple victims.

]]>La entrada UGT reiterates its complaint about the deterioration of 061 in Ibiza: «Mismanagement» and «lack of maintenance». se publicó primero en La Voz De Ibiza.
]]>«We have only obtained headlines, commitments and unfulfilled promises,» criticizes the union organization, which warns of the impact that this situation has on the working conditions of the staff and on the quality of the service received by the public.
One of the main demands of UGT is the official creation of a Logistics Department in the pitiusas, as these functions are currently being assumed on an interim basis by workers relocated for occupational health.
Despite their «professionalism and efficiency», the union warns that these are sporadic personnel, without means or formal recognition, who are even required to perform tasks outside of their duties.
The union has conveyed this claim both to 061 and to the Regional Ministry of Health and the GSAIB, and has also demanded an adequate structure, technical resources and regular trips to Formentera to avoid the accumulation of incidents.
UGT also denounces that the new vehicles promised by the administration have still not arrived, despite having been announced in September, October and most recently «for the beginning of December».
The organization fears that, without real planning, the deterioration problems already suffered by the current fleet will be repeated.
The Regional Minister of Health, Manuela García, recently assured that there will be no problems with the new fleet, as the company Fraikin will continue to be in charge of maintenance .
However, UGT questions this statement and recalls that the company «almost never sent technicians to Ibiza«, being the staff themselves who solved the failures.
«The current deterioration is a direct result of this lack of maintenance,» stresses the union, which demands that urgent measures be taken before the new fleet is put into service.
Another critical point pointed out by UGT is the lack of adequate roofs and sheds in several operational bases, which affects both the Urgent Health Transport Service (TSU) and the Non-Emergent Health Transport (TSNU).
At the Sant Antoni base, the union proposes to install roofing in the reserved parking area, also enabling an emergency exit lane to avoid blockages of ambulances.
At the base of Sant Agustí, an adapted roof is once again being demanded.
In Sant Joan, the appropriate shed has still not been installed.
As for the TSNU service, the vehicles continue to pile up in the area of the old Can Misses hospital, projecting, according to UGT, an «unprofessionalimageof the service» and hindering its maintenance.
The union also charges against the lack of hiring despite the fact that, according to denounce, there is available staff in the SOIB. As an example, UGT denounces that last November 17 the SVB ambulance of Sant Joan was inoperative for 12 hours due to lack of personnel. That day extra guards were offered, but failed to cover the service.
Currently, GSAIB management offers between 10 and 15 guards a day to cover sick leave or unfilled shifts, a dynamic that, according to the organization, overloads active personnel and is a «waste» of public money.
«The Govern boasts of stability, but does not hire even when it has available staff with the required qualifications,» laments UGT, which warns that this situation could be repeated at Christmas if action is not taken immediately.
The union is also concerned about the future implementation of the new LIMA resource, whose operation will require six professionals per day.
However, UGT denounces that the necessary hirings are not being made, despite the fact that there are five people registered in the SOIB available to work.
«We do not understand how they can continue to resort to overtime when there are trained personnel waiting,» concludes the statement, which reiterates that the objective of the public company should be to create jobs, not to increase spending due to mismanagement.
