The world of urban music is preparing for a historic moment. Don Omar, one of reggaeton’s most prominent references, has confirmed that 2026 will be his last year on stage, putting an end to a career of more than 25 years marked by global successes and a profound influence on the genre. In this context, the artist will visit Spain as part of his farewell tour, with a concert scheduled for July 18, 2026 at the Estadio de La Cartuja in Seville, as part of a special edition of the Cook Music Fest.

This announcement has not only created an enormous expectation among his followers, but has also triggered an avalanche of interest in the tickets, which are on sale with the clear intention of allowing Spanish fans to experience up close one of the most emblematic moments in the career of the «King of Reggaeton».

A long-awaited concert in Seville

Don Omar ‘s concert in Seville will be one of the key dates of his farewell tour in Europe. The performance is part of the Cook Music Fest, a festival that has already confirmed several big music stars for the summer of 2026.

Tickets will be available from Monday, December 29, starting at 12:00 noon, and can be purchased through the festival’s official website(www.cookmusicfest.es) or through the Vivaticket platform .

The organization has advanced that a high demand is expected from the first moment, so it is recommended to those interested to access the sales platform in advance to avoid setbacks. The previous experience with ticket sales in Tenerife, where the more than 40,000 tickets available were sold out in about an hour, serves as a warning of how quickly the same could happen in Seville.

Ticket types and access conditions

The Cook Music Fest will make available to fans different types of tickets and locations within the Estadio de La Cartuja. Prices will start from 60.50 euros, including management fees. This variety of options seeks to facilitate access to the concert to the largest possible number of fans of Don Omar.

In order to minimize resale and encourage direct purchases by fans, a maximum limit of six tickets per buyer has been established. This measure is intended to allow more people to purchase tickets without a few people monopolizing all available tickets from the start.

Regarding the attendance of minors, the organization has clarified that minors under 16 years of age may attend the concert, but must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. In addition, all those under 18 years of age must first download the authorization for minors from the official website, and present it along with the ticket on the day of the event.

Spanish dates of the farewell tour

Don Omar’s visit to Spain in 2026 includes two confirmed stops as part of his final tour. The first one took place in Tenerife on July 16, within the same Cook Music Fest, and tickets were sold out in little more than an hour after going on sale last December 12. This massive response encouraged the promoters to add a second date in Spain, which will take place in Seville on July 18.

The decision to extend the dates in Spain is a direct response to the great reception received from the public and Don Omar’s desire to say goodbye to his Spanish fans in a special and massive way.

A legendary career comes to an end

Don Omar has not only been one of the leading exponents of reggaeton since the late 1990s and early 2000s, but he has also left an indelible mark on urban music globally. With songs that have become anthems and collaborations with artists from various genres, his impact goes beyond the charts.

Beyond the concert in Seville, the artist has announced that his final farewell will include more than live performances. A compilation album of his best hits is planned, with emblematic songs such as Dile and Pobre Diabla, as well as a second album with unreleased songs. This new material, which will be released in 2026, will feature notable collaborations, reaffirming Don Omar’s artistic relevance even at the time of his retirement.

He has also expressed his desire to collaborate with new generations of musicians, something he considers important to leave a lasting mark on the world of urban music. According to him, working with emerging talent is «extremely important» and is part of his artistic vision for this closing stage.

Farewell to an urban legend

The decision to retire does not come at an easy time or away from important personal events. In June of last year, Don Omar shared with his followers that he had been diagnosed with cancer, although the disease was detected in time and, after surgery, he assured that he would be free of it. Beyond this experience, he has recognized that he is in a more mature stage of his life, which has influenced his decision to leave the stage.

Although in 2017 he had already announced a temporary retirement (when he did the Forever King… The Last Tour), the artist returned to the music scene with collaborations and new music. However, this time the retirement is definitive: «Daddy Yankee retired, Héctor El Father today has his new life. I believe that time will continue to demand that each one of us look towards the moment in which we have to pass the baton,» he said in a recent interview with Telemundo, reaffirming his intention to close this stage with coherence and emotion.

Don Omar’s return to Spain is already a fact and it will come twice: the Puerto Rican singer has announced a new date in Seville for 2026, a decision that responds directly to the enormous interest generated after his successful visit to the Canary Islands, where he managed to sell out in record time.

The announcement is an opportunity for thousands of fans who missed out on their first European date and consolidates Spain as one of the key stops on their tour.

Seville, new stop for Reggaeton King

The performance will take place on July 18, 2026 at the Estadio de La Cartuja, a venue prepared to host tens of thousands of spectators. The choice of Seville reinforces the massive nature of the event and extends the reach of the tour to the Peninsula, something long awaited by the artist’s fans.

The organizers emphasize that the show will be at the height of one of the most influential figures of the urban genre, with a technical deployment designed for a large venue.

Tickets: when and where to buy them

Tickets for the concert will go on sale on Monday, December 29th at 12:00 noon, exclusively through the official Cook Music Fest website. A high demand is expected, taking into account what happened in Tenerife, where tickets flew out in just one hour.

In addition, it has been confirmed that before Don Omar guest artists will take the stage, although the final line-up will be announced in the coming days.

A reggaeton icon who continues to fill stadiums

With more than twenty years of career, William Omar Landrón Rivera, the artist’s real name, continues to be an undisputed reference of reggaeton worldwide. Tracks such as Danza Kuduro, Dale Don Dale or Salió el Sol are part of the soundtrack of several generations.

At 47 years old, Don Omar maintains intact his convening power and his connection with the public, something that will again be evident in his awaited concert in Seville, where he will review the great milestones of his career.

A serious traffic accident recorded this morning at the Puente Cristo de la Expiración, popularly known as Puente del Cachorro, has cost the life of Nacho Ansó, 53, director of the NH Plaza de Armas hotel in Seville. The accident, a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a car, occurred around 9.05 am on Tuesday and has been a blow to the local hotel sector and the city, which in less than a week has suffered two fatal accidents involving motorcyclists.

A head-on collision with fatal consequences

As reported by sources of the 112 Emergency Service, the accident occurred when a motorcycle collided head-on with a car in one of the accesses to the Andalusian capital by the Cristo de la Expiración Bridge. The impact was so violent that it caused the death of the motorcyclist, who was later identified as Nacho Ansó.

Ignacio Ansó, also known in some references as Ignacio Ansó Armendáriz, was a well-known professional in the hotel sector. Aged 53, he had lived in Seville for several decades and had spent much of his career in the NH hotel chain, both in Spanish cities such as Zaragoza and Pamplona before settling permanently in the Andalusian capital.

Presence of emergency services and traffic conditions

A large number of National Police, Local Police and 061 health services immediately moved to the scene of the accident to attend the situation and take charge of the investigation of the facts. As a result of the accident, the authorities had to cut the traffic in the Puente del Cachorro, which caused important collapses in the access to Seville from the SE-30 and in the Paseo Colón, until alternative itineraries could be enabled.

From the City Council of Seville, through its official channels, it was reported that the Local Police has taken charge of the investigation related to the collision, with the aim of clarifying the causes that led to the head-on collision. In parallel, it was indicated that detours have been activated to facilitate the circulation towards the city, in a morning that has been particularly complicated for urban traffic.

Decades of professional experience

Ignacio Ansó was a professional with a consolidated career in the hotel sector and closely linked to the NH chain. His career began in 1995, when he was head of reception at the NH Gran Hotel in Zaragoza, a position he held until 1997. Only two years later, he had already been appointed manager of the same hotel, an important step in his professional development.

In 2004, Ansó moved to Seville to take over the management of the NH Plaza de Armas, an establishment he ran until 2012. Subsequently, he took the reins of the NH Collection in the city, a position he held for several years and which consolidated him as a relevant figure within the Andalusian tourism sector. A few months ago, he returned to manage again the establishment located in Marqués de Paradas, a position he held until the day of his death.

In addition to his career in Seville, Ansó was also director of the Tryp Sancho Ramírez hotel in Pamplona, which demonstrates his experience and professional projection beyond Andalusia.

Reactions after the accident

The death of Nacho Ansó has caused consternation in the hotel community and among those who knew him, both for his professional career and for his presence in the social and business life of Seville. The tourism sector, which in recent years has played a central role in the city’s economic recovery, mourns the loss of one of its best known representatives.

This fatal accident is in addition to the one that occurred last Sunday in Seville, when another 47-year-old motorcyclist lost his life after losing control of his vehicle on the San Bernardo Bridge. The repetition of accidents of this type in the city this week has set off alarm bells about road safety and mobility conditions at critical points in the urban network.

]]>
A serious traffic accident occurred this Friday on the A-66 highway, passing through the municipality of Guillena (Seville), has caused the death of three people and has left at least two slightly injured. The accident occurred at around 14:00 and forced the total closure of the road in the direction of Seville, generating significant delays for several hours.

According to the information provided by the Guardia Civil, the accident involved three vehicles, two of them heavy trucks and a car. The impact was very violent and left the car completely destroyed, trapped between the two trucks, one of which overturned on the road.

A multiple crash with fatal consequences

The first alert calls to the 112 emergency service described a collision of great magnitude. Witnesses reported that the car had been literally crushed between the two trucks, raising immediate fears for the lives of its occupants.

Traffic police, 061 health services, firefighters from the Seville Provincial Council, highway maintenance personnel and a heavy-duty crane were immediately deployed to the scene of the accident in order to remove the vehicles involved. The complexity of the scene required a coordinated and prolonged intervention.

The medical services even mobilized a medical helicopter to evacuate the injured as quickly as possible. However, despite the efforts made, it was not possible to save the lives of three people, who died at the scene of the accident or shortly afterwards due to the seriousness of their injuries.

Two slightly injured taken to hospital

In addition to the three fatalities, two other people were slightly injured. Both were initially treated at the scene of the accident and later evacuated to the Virgen Macarena Hospital in Seville, where they were admitted for observation.

Health sources confirmed that their condition is not serious, although they remain under medical follow-up due to the impact suffered and the context of the accident.

Traffic cuts and traffic jams on the A-66

The accident had a strong impact on traffic. The A-66 highway was completely cut off at kilometer 796 in the direction of Seville, just at the exit of Guillena towards this road. The interruption of traffic caused traffic jams of more than three kilometers in the hours following the accident.

To alleviate the situation, the authorities enabled an alternative detour at kilometer 797, already in the municipality of Gerena. Even so, the congestion was considerable while the rescue, cleaning and removal of the accident vehicles was being carried out.

Normal traffic could not be restored until late in the afternoon, once firefighters and maintenance crews were able to completely clear the roadway.

Investigation points to possible distraction

The Guardia Civil has opened an investigation to clarify the exact causes of the accident. According to sources close to the investigation, the main hypothesis currently being considered is a possible distraction of the driver of one of the trucks involved.

However, the officers continue to collect data and analyze the evidence at the accident scene, as well as the testimonies of those involved and witnesses, before closing the final statement.

The armed forces remind us that this type of multiple accidents are usually related to factors such as lack of attention, speeding or lack of safety distance, especially on fast roads with heavy traffic.

Unknowns about the fatalities

The identities of the three deceased persons and the ages of the victims have not been confirmed at this time. The vehicles in which they were traveling at the time of the accident have not been specified.

Sources of the Guillena City Council indicated that, at this time, it is not known if the deceased were directly related to the town. The consistory has shown its dismay at what happened and has conveyed its condolences to the families affected.

Eight people, six men and two women, have been arrested as alleged members of a criminal organization dedicated to drug trafficking between Seville and Ibiza. The Civil Guard reported Saturday that the investigation began after detecting a suspicious package, with a strong smell of marijuana, sent from the region of Aljarafe to the island.

The intervention took place within the framework of operation ‘Osset Posidonia’, activated after agents of the Civil Guard in Seville located a parcel that could contain narcotic substances. Based on this discovery, a surveillance operation was set up on the main suspect, which confirmed the existence of a well-structured criminal network.

The investigation determined that the organization operated with a clear hierarchy. From Seville, several members were in charge of preparing and sending packages with different amounts of dried marijuana through courier companies. Once in Ibiza, another part of the group received the shipments and distributed the drugs to different parts of the island, maintaining a stable and coordinated logistics.

Simultaneous searches and seized material

Once all the members were identified, the Guardia Civil carried out simultaneous searches in four properties located in Umbrete (Seville) and Ibiza. They seized 10 kilograms of dried marijuana, 17,500 euros in cash, different narcotic substances, a detonating pistol and specific cartridges for small arms.

The operation has made it possible to completely dismantle this drug trafficking network that operated between Andalusia and Ibiza.

Air activity at Seville’s San Pablo airport was disrupted Thursday afternoon after a plane bound for Marrakech made an emergency landing.

The incident occurred when the crew detected a technical failure shortly after initiating the takeoff maneuver.

What was the problem during the flight

The aircraft, a Ryanair flight with 180 passengers, developed complications in the landing gear, forcing the pilot to request an immediate return to the Sevillian aerodrome.

After declaring the emergency, the security system was activated, mobilizing the Civil Guard, National Police, Local Police and the airport fire department.

Before landing, the aircraft flew over the area for about twenty minutes to stabilize the situation and prepare for contact with the runway. In the end, the maneuver was completed without incident and no passengers were injured.

Temporary closure of the airport and towing of the aircraft

Once on the ground, the aircraft remained parked on the runway, temporarily blocking airport operations. Technicians and operators worked to tow the aircraft to a safe area, a process that kept Seville’s air traffic paralyzed.

According to AENA sources, the runway became operational again at approximately 18:40 hours, at which time normality was restored at the aerodrome.

Nine flights diverted due to the incident

The incident forced the diversion of nine flights that were scheduled to land in Seville. The diversions were distributed as follows:

  • Five flights rerouted to Malaga-Costa del Sol from Lyon, Marseille, Pisa, Milan and Bordeaux.

  • Two flights diverted to Jerez airport from Tenerife North and Barcelona.

  • Two aircraft sent to Faro airport (Portugal) from Eindhoven and Vienna.

Despite the inconvenience caused to passengers, the incident ended without personal injury and with the confirmation that the technical problem had been contained without major consequences.

The fatal hit-and-run accident that occurred this Monday in Seville has left behind a shocking testimony that helps to reconstruct how a driver discovered that she was carrying a corpse trapped under her vehicle after driving more than five kilometers without noticing it. The story corresponds to Manuel Barrena, concierge of the Sevilla 1 building, who heard a scream that broke the silence of the early hours of the day.

«The day was getting light, it was not yet dawn. It was raining heavily. Suddenly we heard a piercing shriek «Barrena recalled, according to Diario de Sevilla. That cry, which at first he mistook for that of a group of students, actually came from the driver of the car stopped on Avenida Ramón y Cajal, who had just discovered that she was dragging a body under her vehicle.

«It was a woman’s voice,» details the employee, who witnessed the scene from his post. «I saw that she was the driver of a car…. I had just discovered that there was a person underneath the vehicle. «.

The trajectory of the vehicle: five kilometers with a trapped body

The events began in Lumbreras Street, next to the Alameda de Hércules. There, according to the first indications, a man was walking stumbling in the middle of the roadway until he fell to the ground. At that moment, a car that had just left a garage ran over the pedestrian.

The driver, who did not see the man lying on the ground, continued on her way without noticing the tragedy that had just unfolded. The body was caught in the underbody of the vehicle, which continued to drive for miles.

Investigators are analyzing a traffic camera that would have recorded the start of the hit-and-run and the erratic behavior of the pedestrian seconds before impact.

The moment of discovery: «Oh, my God».

The witness states that the driver braked when she received signals from other drivers: «It seems that someone who was stopped at the traffic light had told her«. Upon seeing what she was dragging under her car, the woman went into shock and started screaming «oh my God» and calling for help.

Barrena recalled that the car was «with the breakdown lights stopped in the third lane, under the rain». Minutes later, firefighters and local police arrived.

«We saw a fireman bending down next to the vehicle. They tried to pull it out but it was not possible, they had to lift the car with some levers. «he says. Once freed, the corpse was placed in an ambulance.

The driver’s journey before being alerted

At the time of the accident, there were two people in the vehicle. After hitting the pedestrian without noticing him, the driver made several stops. First she went to the San Bernardo stop, where she left a relative. There, the handbrake light came on, which led her to think that it was a minor breakdown of no major importance.

She then continued to the intersection of Ramón y Cajal and San Francisco Javier avenues, where other citizens alerted her and everything was exposed.

According to Barrena, the woman was «very nervous» and the agents accompanied her to a nearby bar to calm her down.

An urgent operation in the rain

The scene generated a rapid mobilization of emergency services. Ten firefighters arrived at the scene, as well as several patrols of Mossos, Guardia Urbana and four ambulances of the Sistema d’Emergències Mèdiques.

One of the slightly injured was a man with a cut finger, discharged at the time. The other injured, a man with burns, was taken to the Vall d’Hebron hospital. ARRO agents managed to rescue him from the flames.

Investigation underway: possible clues in the remains

The Mossos d’Esquadra are investigating the origin of the fire, as there are indications that several deflagrations occurred. The agents found butane canisters and combustible material in the burnt settlement, although it is still being analyzed whether their explosion was the cause or consequence of the fire.

For its part, the Local Police of Seville keeps the investigation open to clarify the circumstances of the hit-and-run and determine whether the incident recorded by the traffic camera provides key elements.

Autopsy and vehicle analysis

The vehicle involved, a Toyota, was seized and taken to police headquarters for an exhaustive technical examination. The body was taken to the Institute of Legal Medicine of Seville, where an autopsy is expected to be performed in the coming hours.

The city of Seville has dawned shocked after a tragic hit-and-run that has revealed a sequence of extremely serious events. A middle-aged man has lost his life this Monday after being run over by a vehicle and dragged for several kilometers, from Lumbreras street, next to Torneo street, to San Francisco Javier avenue, in the district of Nervión.

The event occurred around 8:20 a.m., at which time the body was found trapped under the car of the driver involved, just as the vehicle stopped on the aforementioned avenue. The tragic discovery immediately activated the emergency services.

Urgent intervention of emergency teams

Local police, firefighters and 061 personnel were on the scene, as confirmed by 112 and the Seville City Council. The scene forced to establish a wide security perimeter and to cut the circulation in one of the busiest arteries of the city.

The removal of the body is underway, while a specialized unit of the Local Police has taken over the proceedings to clarify how an accident of such magnitude could have occurred.

A complex investigation: all cameras under review

The investigation is now focused on analyzing the images from traffic cameras spread throughout the city. This material will be key to reconstructing the car’s route and confirming when the hit-and-run occurred, how it happened and why the body remained hidden under the vehicle for several kilometers.

The first information suggests that the victim is a homeless person of Spanish nationality, according to sources close to the case. Everything indicates that the man remained trapped under the vehicle during the whole journey, until the driver noticed his presence when she reached the Nervión area.

Traffic cuts and detours on Tussam lines

The very serious accident has caused important traffic jams in a time slot of maximum vehicular affluence. San Francisco Javier avenue remains cut off in the direction of Diego Martínez Barrios avenue, causing considerable congestion in the surrounding area.

Also, several Tussam lines have had to be diverted as a result of police intervention and the presence of emergency teams in the area.

An event that shocks the neighborhood and raises questions

Neighbors and passersby in the area early in the morning were shocked by the display and the magnitude of the accident. The fact that the body was dragged over such a long distance raises many questions that the investigation will have to answer in the coming days.

In the meantime, the city awaits the progress of the proceedings to understand the circumstances surrounding this accident in Seville, one of the most shocking in recent years.

The Local Police continues to work to clarify every detail of this event that has shaken Seville and has left a scene of enormous human and urban impact.

Cayetano Rivera ‘s name is back in the headlines after suffering a serious traffic accident in Seville. The bullfighter lost control of his van at the exit of the Real Club Sevilla Golf, in Alcalá de Guadaíra, and ended up crashing into a landscaped traffic circle full of palm trees, as reported by ABC Sevilla.

The violent impact left the van completely destroyed and caused the fall of several trees, as well as glass and remains of the vehicle scattered on the asphalt. Despite the spectacular nature of the accident, the bullfighter was not seriously injured and is in a stable condition, although he tested positive for alcohol, according to sources quoted by the same media.

An accident that could have had more serious consequences

The accident occurred around 21:00 hours on Sunday, when Cayetano Rivera was driving his van along the road that connects the golf club with his urbanization. Apparently, the bullfighter lost control of the vehicle when he reached a traffic circle, invading the landscaped space and knocking down several palm trees due to the force of the impact.

The images released by Europa Press show the magnitude of the crash: the front of the vehicle was reduced to a heap of iron, with one of the front wheels completely lifted off the ground. On the ground can be seen the remains of the windshield and the trail left by the van after the collision.

«The vehicle has been declared a total loss,» reports ABC, which also states that the authorities carried out a breathalyzer test on the bullfighter, whose result the bullfighter, the result of which would have been positive.

Cayetano, unharmed but at the center of controversy

Despite the violence of the accident, Cayetano Rivera got out of the vehicle on his own feet. According to witnesses, he did not require immediate medical assistance and walked away to his home, located just 25 meters from the scene of the accident.

Minutes later, several neighbors alerted the Guardia Civil, who went to the area and later went to the bullfighter’s home to check his condition and clarify what had happened. Sources close to the bullfighter said that Cayetano collaborated with the agents and explained that the accident was the result of a mistake at the wheel. «After getting out of the car, he stayed for a while next to his vehicle, with a jacket hanging from his arm, until the neighbors came to help him», eyewitnesses said.

The accident site, in pictures

Photographs of the scene give a good account of the force of the impact. They show how the van was left on the traffic circle, with several palm trees knocked down and the ground covered with fragments of the vehicle.

The images also show the trace of the car’s trajectory before the collision, evidencing the loss of control suffered by the driver. The landscaped area was visibly damaged, with the remains of the vehicle scattered over several meters.

The front of the car is the most affected part: the hood bent, the engine displaced and the windshield blown out. Despite this, the driver’s compartment barely shows any deformation, something that would have been key for the bullfighter to escape unharmed.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the accident.

The accident, which did not cause any injuries or personal damages to third parties, has been placed under investigation. The Guardia Civil de Tráfico has opened an investigation report to clarify the exact circumstances of the incident and to confirm whether, as initial reports indicate, the bullfighter had consumed alcohol before driving.

If the positive alcohol test is confirmed, Cayetano Rivera could face a financial penalty and the temporary withdrawal of his driver’s license, in addition to the possible impact on his public image.

For the moment, he has not made any public pronouncement about what happened. According to close sources, the bullfighter spent Monday afternoon at home, recovering from the scare and avoiding media appearances.

Cayetano Rivera ‘s accident continues to generate headlines. The bullfighter, 48 years old, suffered last Sunday a mishap with his vehicle in the traffic circle of access to the Real Club Sevilla Golf, located next to the urbanization in which he lives. According to the account of his lawyer, Joaquín Moeckel, the incident was caused by a simple mistake, and not by a recklessness or an escape, as has been insinuated in some media.

Rivera, who crashed his van into a palm tree, got out of the vehicle under his own power and was not seriously injured. The incident took place around eight o’clock in the evening, when Cayetano was returning home after a quiet day.

The accident, according to the lawyer’s account

Moeckel has offered his version of what happened in statements to LOC: «According to Cayetano, he was returning home shortly after eight o’clock in the evening. It’s not seven o’clock in the morning or anything like that, be very careful with that, the hours are very important».

The bullfighter was driving along the road leading to his urbanization when, according to his defense, he was distracted looking for the automatic control to open the garage fence. «At that moment, Cayetano started to look in the car for the automatic control to open the fence, and he got distracted. And when he realizes it, he is already on top of it and gets right into the traffic circle,» the lawyer explains.

The vehicle ended up crashing into a palm tree in the center of the traffic circle. Despite the impact, Cayetano got out of the car without help and remained for a few minutes next to the vehicle, with a jacket hanging from his arm, as shown in the images posted on social networks.

«There was no escape»: the version of his departure from the site

The Sevillian lawyer insists that his client did not try to flee the scene. «Obviously, that is not done by anyone who is going to flee,» he points out. «He told them that, since he lives next door, and since thank God there was no personal injury to anyone, he was going to go home, and that if the police or anyone came, to tell them where he was. A person who wants to flee, doesn’t go to his house 25 meters away,» Moeckel adds.

It was the neighbors and witnesses themselves who alerted the authorities, following the usual protocol in any traffic accident.

The controversy of the breathalyzer test

One of the most commented points after the accident has been whether Cayetano Rivera refused to take the breathalyzer test. Some sources indicated that the diestro refused to take the test, which has been denied by his lawyer.

«The only discussion here is that the police are going to defend, I imagine, that he asked for the test, and we defend that, in the case that this was the case, Cayetano was in a dazed situation, he could not understand what they were telling him,» Moeckel clarified.

The lawyer maintains that, if there was any confusion, it was due to his client’s state of shock after the impact. «What the police say is not that it is true or false. They will say what they say, but my client was in a dazed state that it was impossible for him to find out. He consciously did not refuse to take the breathalyzer test,» he adds.

«It could have been an oversight or a failure of reflexes.»

Regarding Cayetano’s initial statements, who, when he got out of the vehicle, commented that «his brakes had failed», Moeckel considers that it was a spontaneous and confused reaction after the accident. «That’s not where I come in. I think it should be a lack of attention more than anything else, and already at that point, absent-minded, I wouldn’t know which pedal I was hitting. An absent-mindedness. But yes, the brakes could have failed, or it could also be that what failed was the reflex of stepping on the brake. And there is no more story,» explains the lawyer.

The lawyer considers that the media hype is mainly due to the fame of the bullfighter: «His name is Cayetano Rivera; if his name were Joaquín Martín, nobody would have talked about this».

«There is no reason for lawsuits.»

Asked if the bullfighter will take any legal action, Moeckel is categorical: «What lawsuit am I going to file? Against the palm tree because it was there? What Cayetano has to do is to be more attentive to the cars and not to look at the controls or the cell phones».

The lawyer confirms that now a phase of judicial instruction is opened in which the facts will be investigated and it will be determined if there was any infraction or crime. «There will be an investigation and we will see what is there. This has only just begun. Now the proceedings are starting to verify the facts of the accident, the investigation to find out what happened and how the events unfolded. This has little history. And I imagine it will come to nothing,» says Moeckel.

«The police investigate, but the judges are the ones who pass sentence.»

In statements to Sonsoles Ónega’ s program on Antena 3, Moeckel wanted to emphasize that police work does not imply automatic guilt: «Fortunately, the police investigate, but they are not the ones who pass sentence. That is what magistrates and judges are for. One thing is that the police can understand that there has been disobedience and another that in the end it is true that there has been disobedience or not. The police carry out their investigations and the judges will decide,» he explained.

The lawyer insisted that Cayetano will cooperate with the authorities at all times and that he has full confidence in the judicial process.

Concern in Cayetano Rivera ‘s entourage after a new incident. The bullfighter, 47 years old, suffered this Sunday a traffic accident when he crashed the van he was driving against a palm tree, as reported by the newspaper ABC. The events occurred around 21:00 hours, at the exit of the Real Club Sevilla Golf, in Alcalá de Guadaíra (Seville), where the son of Carmina Ordóñez lost control of the vehicle.

Although Cayetano was unharmed, the accident has caused concern because of the positive result in the alcohol test, according to the same sources. The impact was of such magnitude that the bullfighter invaded a landscaped traffic circle of the exclusive club and knocked down the tree against which he crashed.

A new episode in a few months

This accident comes barely six months after another incident that also placed Cayetano Rivera at the center of controversy. Last June 30, the program Y ahora Sonsoles reported his arrest for an alleged assault on a police officer at a well-known fast food restaurant in Atocha (Madrid).

That episode took place in the middle of the night. According to witnesses quoted by the program, the bullfighter argued with several employees of the establishment, who alerted the authorities after considering that the client was not respecting the rules and maintained an aggressive attitude. When the police arrived at the establishment, Cayetano confronted one of the agents and ended up arrested for an alleged crime of resistance and disobedience to authority.

The diestro spent the night at the police station and, after his release, avoided making any public statements on the matter. The incident, however, had immediate consequences on his professional career.

Cancellations and temporary withdrawal from the arena

After his arrest, Cayetano Rivera announced that he had to cancel several bullfights scheduled in his bullfighting calendar. The suspensions affected such important places as Burgos, Santander, Ciudad Real and Malaga, arguing that he was not physically prepared to continue.

At the end of August, the bullfighter reappeared with a message on social networks that hinted at a complicated period both personally and professionally: «I am very happy to inform you that, after almost two months without being able to wear a bullfighter’s hat, this Saturday 23rd I will reappear in Tomelloso. The wait has been long, but finally I return to the ring with the illusion of always.»

His return was short-lived. Barely a month later, on September 20, Cayetano Rivera said his final farewell to the bullfighting ring. The bullfighter thus closed a period marked by personal ups and downs, injuries and media controversies.

Seville accident under investigation

The new incident in Alcalá de Guadaíra has reopened the debate about Cayetano’s personal situation. According to ABC, the vehicle Cayetano was driving invaded the garden of the traffic circle after losing control at the exit of the club. The emergency services rushed to the scene, but it was not necessary to take him to hospital, as he was not seriously injured.

The traffic officers who attended the accident performed a breathalyzer test, which gave a positive result. For the moment, no details have been released regarding the legal consequences of the incident, although the case could result in an administrative or criminal sanction, depending on the level of alcohol detected.

Concern about his state of mind

The bullfighter’s entourage, according to the specialized press, is concerned about his emotional and personal state. In recent years, Cayetano has gone through a period of intense media exposure, especially since his separation from the presenter Eva González, with whom he has a son in common.

Added to this are the physical problems derived from his bullfighting career and the public incidents that have affected his reputation. His closest environment assures that he is focused on seeking personal stability away from the spotlight, although the latest events have once again placed him at the center of the controversy.

A life marked by media pressure

Son of Carmina Ordóñez and Paquirri, and brother of Francisco Rivera, Cayetano has lived under media scrutiny since he was a child. His love life, his career in the bullring and his personal decisions have always been the subject of public attention.

Unlike his brother Francisco, who combines family life with television appearances, Cayetano has preferred to keep a more discreet profile, although his recent episodes have complicated that intention.

In recent years, he has participated in several charity projects and has maintained links with the world of fashion and advertising, collaborating with brands such as Giorgio Armani or Scalpers, trying to diversify his career beyond bullfighting.

The National Police has arrested this Thursday 16 cab drivers operating at the airport of Seville as part of Operation Aertase, an investigation focused on irregularities related to the control of this lucrative stop. The operation, led by the Provincial Information Brigade, has been supported by the Citizen Security Brigade and the Police Intervention Unit (UIP).

Previous investigations and background in the guild

According to police sources, the arrests were carried out both in Seville capital and in nearby towns, and it is not ruled out that there will be more arrests in the coming days. This operation is not the first to point out irregularities in the cab sector linked to the airport. .

Current charges and the development of the operation

Operation Aertase has once again put the spotlight on the airport cab union, which for years has been under suspicion for irregular practices in the management of the taxi rank. According to sources close to the case, the accusations could range from coercion to violent altercations and possible financial irregularities. The National Police have carried out searches at several key points, including homes and spaces related to the detained cab drivers, although no details have been provided so far about the material seized or the forthcoming legal actions.

A long-standing problem

The cab rank at the Seville airport, considered one of the most lucrative in the city, has been the subject of internal and external conflicts for years. On several occasions, confrontations between cab drivers and VTC drivers have been reported, as well as allegations of exclusionary practices towards other professionals in the sector. With this operation, the authorities seek to clarify the practices surrounding the guild in this area, as well as to dismantle possible networks of irregular actions that affect both users and the general operation of the transport service at the airport.
