Arrested for driving a vehicle in Santa Eulària that had been stolen

The subject is a 35 year old male of Irish origin. He is charged with one count of vehicle theft.

The Civil Guard has arrested a man, 35 years old and of Irish origin, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of vehicle theft occurred in the town of Santa Eulària des Riu.

As reported by the Civil Guard in a statement, the events took place on Friday afternoon, when agents of the ROCA team who were conducting a checkpoint and identification of persons and vehicles in a rural area stopped a vehicle.

After making the appropriate checks in the different databases, it was verified that the vehicle was stolen with a valid warrant from the Irish authorities, so the agents proceeded to arrest the driver as he was driving a vehicle claimed as stolen.

The vehicle is at the disposal of the judicial authorities for its subsequent return to its owner.
