The Consell de Formentera held this Wednesday the second Plenary Session of Participation of Children and Youth of 2025, an appointment in which students of Primary and ESO of all the centers of the island exposed who they are, what needs they detect, where they occur and why they demand improvements in areas such as public transport or sports facilities, according to the institutional documentation consulted. The session, which took place in the plenary hall, was attended by the leadership of the island government, headed by the president, Óscar Portas.

A plenary session with representation from all schools
The meeting brought together 5th and 6th grade students from the schools Mestre Lluís Andreu, El Pilar de la Mola, Sant Ferran and Verge Miraculosa, as well as young people from IES Marc Ferrer. During the opening, the attendees presented the participation of representatives of Formentera in the XIV Children’s Parliament of the Balearic Islands, held on the occasion of Universal Children’s Day.
In this kick-off, educational videos were shown on the responsible use of social networks and the risks of sharing personal data on the Internet, a content that, according to the Consell, seeks to strengthen digital literacy among young people.
