The two men who were injured in a violent fight last Friday in Santa Eulària are now free, as confirmed by the Guardia Civil.
The confrontation, which took place in a house in the town center of the municipality, left one of them on the verge of death after receiving several stab wounds.
Both were brought before a judge after the incident, but since they did not file a complaint against each other, the judge ordered their release.
Voluntary discharge after hospitalization
The most seriously injured is a 42-year-old man of Italian nationality, who was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Can Misses Hospital with multiple stab wounds.
Last Sunday night, the patient requested voluntary discharge, which was formalized at 23.30 hours. Shortly afterwards, he was transferred to the judicial headquarters, where he was released after making a statement.
The second participant in the fight is a 74-year-old Spanish man, who also suffered injuries during the brawl. According to police sources, he received several stitches in his head as a result of a blow with a blunt object.
Both parties involved, who were already known to the Guardia Civil due to a previous history, had opted not to prosecute the conflict and to resolve their differences on their own. For this reason, the judge did not take additional measures after their appearance.
