The Mossos d’Esquadra and the Guardia Civil have activated an early morning operation against a criminal group dedicated to trafficking cocaine and other synthetic drugs, with branches in Australia, in which eight entries and searches are being carried out in the Barcelona area and in Ibiza.
In the device, which involves about 120 police officers, also collaborate agents of the Australian Federal Police. On the part of the Mossos, agents from the Criminal Investigation Division (DIC), Public Order, Public Safety and Scientific Police are participating in the operation, according to sources from this police force. The investigation, led by the DIC of the Barcelona Metropolitan Region of the Mossos, is under the secrecy of the proceedings, according to the same sources.
