The Sant Antoni Festivities 2025 officially began last January 10 and will run until February 14 with an agenda designed for all ages. The mayor of Sant Antoni de Portmany, Marcos Serra, and the councilor of Fiestas, Miguel Tur, presented the program highlighting its commitment to combine tradition, fun and family activities.
Home with featured events
The program opened with the inauguration of the painting exhibition Arco de la Verdad by Marvina Kang Hughes and the concert by Los Varadero Band at the Passeig de ses Fonts.
On Saturday, January 11, the traditional Super Flower and Mini Flower offered a festive atmosphere with music, children’s workshops and youth activities. The weekend also hosted the Festival de Balls, Música i Cançó Popular at the Cine Regio.
Sant Antoni’s big day
January 17, the central day of the festivities, will be celebrated with a solemn mass and the traditional blessing of animals in the Passeig de ses Fonts. In addition, there will be an exhibition of ball pagès, fritters tasting and a tribute concert with The 80s Show by Neon Collective, which will pay tribute to iconic bands such as U2 and The Cure.
Great gastronomic and solidarity event
On February 1, the XII World Rice Competition of Matanzas will bring together teams from all over the island and the Peninsula in an event full of music and tradition in s’Era d’en Manyà. It also highlights the World Junior Rice Competition of Matanzas, scheduled for January 31, to raise funds for school field trips. On January 19, a solidarity day will seek to raise funds for the ASPANOB association, with activities in the Passeig de ses Fonts.
Culture and sports
The cultural program includes exhibitions, film screenings, concerts and theater. Among the novelties, the dramatized visits to the church of Sant Antoni on January 31 and February 2, invite attendees to a historical tour with prior registration. On the sporting front, highlights include events such as the Tennis Tournament, the Tirada de Bassetja, and the Premis de l’Esport on January 18, which will recognize the most outstanding athletes of the municipality.
Closing with a night walk
The closing of the festivities, on February 14, will be marked by a night walk under the slogan Anem de lluna i mirem-nos sa flor, which will take attendees from Sant Antoni to Corona to say goodbye to this emblematic celebration. With an offer that encompasses tradition, music, sport and solidarity, the Fiestas de Sant Antoni 2025 promise to be one of the most outstanding events of the year in Ibiza.
