This Saturday, January 25, more than 50 immigrants have reached the coasts of Ibiza and Formentera. Formenterain three operations coordinated by the Guardia Civil and local police. According to the Government Delegation, the immigrants, mostly of North African origin, have been located at different points of the islands and are in apparent good health.
Locations in Sant Vicent and Sant Josep
In Cala de Sant Vicent, in Ibiza, at 16:30 hours, the authorities intercepted 19 people. The operation involved agents of the Civil Guard of Santa Eulària and the Traffic Detachment. Hours earlier, in the municipality of Sant Josep, at around 04:14 hours, 18 more people were located. These actions were carried out by the Civil Guard of Sant Antoni and the Local Police of Sant Josep, who confirmed that the immigrants were in good physical condition.
Another intervention in Formentera
In the area of Pilar de la Mola, in Formentera, at 07:30 hours, 17 more people were identified, also of North African origin. This operation counted with the collaboration of the Guardia Civil and the Local Police of Formentera. According to the data provided, all immigrants were in good health.

The Pitiusas Islands continue to be a recurring point of arrival of migrants attempting to reach the Spanish coast in precarious boats. This phenomenon poses logistical and social challenges for both authorities and local communities, which must manage humanitarian assistance and coordinate the necessary protocols to ensure the safety of rescued persons.
