The British airline Jet2.com announced the addition of two new routes to Ibiza from the United Kingdom for the 2025 summer season. As part of FITUR, the company announced that, in addition to its usual routes, it will operate direct flights from London-Luton and Bournemouth, which will improve accessibility to the island for British tourists.
In total, the airline will operate 77 weekly flights to Ibiza, distributed throughout the season to ensure a continuous arrival of passengers beyond the peak months. The increase in routes will be accompanied by a reinforcement in passenger capacity. By the summer of 2025, Jet2.com will offer nearly 360,000 arrival seats to Ibiza, an increase of 15,000 seats over the previous season. This growth is part of the airline’s strategy to expand its operations in the Balearic Islands.
Expansion in the Balearic Islands
The reinforcement of the offer in Ibiza is part of a broader expansion plan of the British company in the Balearic Islands. The British airline expects to reach a total of almost 1.4 million seats in the Balearics, with a 9% increase over the previous year and a peak of 297 weekly flights. Mallorca will continue to be the company’s main destination in Spain, with 820,000 seats on arrival and a 12% growth. Menorca will also increase its capacity, reaching 204,000 seats with the addition of the Bournemouth route.
