The Socialist Party of Eivissa (PSOE) has denounced that the government team of the Popular Party, headed by Rafa Triguero, has finally approved the Staffing Plan and the Relación de Puestos de Trabajo (RPT) of the Town Hall of Ibiza without the support of the unions, which have issued negative reports on the proposal.
For the PSOE, the agreement with the unions is a fundamental requirement to ensure that the workforce responds to the needs of municipal staff. The socialist councilor Clara Rosselló has accused Triguero of “decapitalizing the Ibiza Town Hall of labor staff”, a decision that, in her opinion, seeks to outsource the main municipal services without justification. During the plenary, an allegation presented by a worker of the City Council in relation to the position of Chemistry Technician, which has been defined exclusively for graduates in that subject, excluding graduates in Environmental Sciences, Biology, Geography, Civil Engineering and other technical engineering, has also been dismissed. The socialist councilman Jordi Salewski has criticized this decision, insinuating that the position has been designed to suit the councilman of Environment, Jordi Grivé, who is a chemist.
The PP blocks the PSOE motion to carry out emergency works in the Mercat Nou
The PP government team has rejected the motion presented by the PSOE that called for a study on the shortcomings of the Mercat Nou and the provision of an economic item to undertake emergency works. For the socialists, the state of the market and its parking lot requires urgent interventions to ensure the safety of traders and users while the new market is being built, a process that, according to estimates, could take more than three years.
PP rejects Ibiza’s adhesion to the Spanish Network of Healthy Cities
The Popular Party has also blocked a PSOE motion for Eivissa to join the Spanish Network of Healthy Cities, an initiative that seeks to promote public policies in favor of the welfare and quality of life of citizens. On the other hand, in relation to the PP motion on the recording of data of travelers in hotels, the socialist councilor Clara Rosselló has defended that the registration of minors accompanied by adults in tourist establishments is a necessary measure to ensure their safety and facilitate the work of the security forces of the State.
