The Benidorm Fest 2025 already has a winner. Melody has won the bronze microphone and will represent Spain in Eurovision 2025 with her song That Diva. The singer from Seville has conquered both the professional jury and the public, accumulating a total of 180 points in the final held at the Palau d’Esports l’Illa de Benidorm. The 34-year-old artist was the last to take the stage and closed the gala with an overwhelming performance, obtaining 70 points from the jury and the maximum score from the televote and the demoscopic vote(80 points).
With this triumph, Melody achieves her goal of representing Spain in the 69th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, to be held on May 17 in Basel (Switzerland).
A close final with Daniela Blasco and J.K. Bello on the podium
The competition was intense until the very last moment, with Daniela Blasco coming in second place with 141 points and J.K. Bello taking third place with 134 points. The gala also featured other finalists such as Kuve, Mawot, Lachispa, Mel Ömana and Lucas Bun, who offered a varied and vibrant show. Presented by Paula Vázquez, Ruth Lorenzo and Inés Hernand, the Benidorm Fest 2025 has had memorable moments, including the performance of Nebulossa interpreting their hit Zorra, as well as the participation of Amaral and Rigoberta Bandini as guest artists.
A voting system with new features and a mixed jury
For the first time in the history of Benidorm Fest, viewers have been able to vote for free through the RTVE Play application, in addition to the traditional options of SMS and phone calls. The jury of this edition has been composed of eight professionals, equally divided between national and international, and their score has represented 50% of the final result. In charge of announcing the jury’s votes was the director of RNE, Roberto Santamaría.
Road to Eurovision: Melody prepares her trip to Switzerland
After the final, the singer was the star of the night of the Benidorm Fest. The night of Benidorm Festthe special TVE program presented by Lalachus, Aitor Albizua and Masi Rodríguez, where she has analyzed her triumph and what lies ahead. Now, Melody has just over three months to polish her performance and bring to Eurovision a show at the height of the competition. The artist will face other European countries in search of the coveted crystal microphone, and everything points to her Esa Diva bet promises to be one of the most striking of the edition. With her incombustible energy and her experience on stage, Melody will seek to make history and take Spain to the top of the European contest.
