This Saturday was a new day of the Third RFEF, where the four teams representing the Pitiusas Islands played, with outstanding results for Penya Independent and PE Sant Jordi.
Penya Independent 3-0 Mercadal
On Saturday, Penya Independent was again in front of its people, eager to get a victory to stay at the top of the division. The Ibizan players did not disappoint at all and were able to beat Mercadal by a resounding 3-0, in the framework of the 11th day of the category. The team from Sant Joan dominated from the first minutes and the goals were scored by Essabar twice and Rinaldi. Thanks to this victory, the Ibizans are still first and next day they will be visiting Collerense.
Porreres 1-1- SD Formentera
On Saturday, SD Formentera drew 1-1 against Porreres as visitors. Formentera knew they were facing a tough opponent, who is second in the standings and were looking for a good result, especially playing away. The match was very changeable, Porreres could have taken the lead at the end of the first half with a goal by Canario, while in the last minutes of the match, Oancea equalized, to the joy of the red and black team. With this draw, SD moves up to seventh place and will host Constància next matchday.
SD Portmany 2-2 Campos
In a real show of goals, SD Portmany equalized at home against Campos by 2-2, in the framework of the 11th day of the Third RFEF. Both came to this match with similar needs and that is why both were looking for a victory. The match started with a goal by Vaccarini after six minutes to put SD Portmany ahead, who kept this result until the end of the first half. The second half started with Campos playing better and taking the lead after 59 minutes through Amoros. Moments later, Moler managed to put the Ibizan team back on top, but in the end Vidal made it 2-2. With this draw, the Ibizan team is placed in 12th position and in the next game they will be visiting Santayi.
Llosetense 1-2 PE Sant Jordi
PE Sant Jordi gota much-needed victory to start climbing up the standings against Llosetense by 2-1. The Ibizans knew they had a very difficult stop, but decided to go for it all and came back with a great win. The Ibizan team started the match with everything, dominating from the beginning and striking quickly with goals from Rozo after 10 minutes and Carella after 15 minutes. José scored for Llosetense before the end of the first half, but after that there was no more excitement and the Ibizan team won the match. Although the Ibizans are still at the bottom of the standings, the victory can serve as motivation. Next day they will be hosting CD Migjorn.
