Vox has announced that, among the measures it demands to approve the autonomic budgets for 2025, it has proposed dental tests for immigrants arriving in the Balearic Islands to determine if they are minors, since the current bone studies “have a margin of error of five years”. This has been explained by the spokeswoman of Vox in the Parliament, Manuela Cañadas, on Monday at a press conference in which she confirmed that the PP has been willing to accept it. “In this one I can already confirm that yes, but there are other measures,” she has pointed out, adding that negotiations are still underway. Santiago Abascal’s party has demanded that the Government “stop looking the other way” and“use all available resources to stop this lack of control“. In this sense, Cañadas stressed that the proposed measure falls within the competencies of the autonomous Executive. On the other hand, the spokeswoman pointed out that some political parties – referring mainly to the PSOE and the PP – have changed the story on immigration “when they have seen that they are losing votes”. According to Cañadas, “now they have the discourse of Vox” which is based on the“urgent need to put an end to illegal immigration” and the rest of the parties “will change it when they see that the votes escape them”. Likewise, he pointed out that the Govern has changed its discourse and that “it is no longer that of the call effect”. In relation to the negotiations for the approval of the budgets, the spokeswoman has assured that her party has not renounced to the office of linguistic freedom and that it continues to negotiate.. “Absolutely not,” she said. However, she has concluded that the ‘popular’ have understood in recent months that they do not have an absolute majority and that the votes of Vox are necessary. “We already see the change of discourse on the issue of immigration and we are negotiating other types of measures in different areas and of course we do not give up anything on language and education,” he added.
