The IES Xarc, in Santa Eulàriawill make a significant leap in its infrastructures after the approval of the project of reform and partial rehabilitation of the center, declared of autonomic interest. The project, authorized by the Consell de Govern, will have an investment of 1.02 million euros and a completion period of eight months. This initiative seeks to modernize the school’s facilities and adapt them to the current needs of the educational community. The works include the complete refurbishment of the gymnasium building, which also houses the changing rooms and bathrooms, as well as the false ceiling. In addition, the area occupied by the former janitor’s living quarters and the bar will be refurbished, and the roof will be completely renovated. The laboratories and a multi-purpose room will also be renovated, improving both their functionality and accessibility. The project, led by the Balearic Institute of Infrastructures and Educational Services (Ibisec) of the Regional Ministry of Education and Universities, aims to ensure that IES Xarc has safe, modern spaces that meet the demands of today’s educational system. This comprehensive refurbishment will not only improve study conditions, but will also make it possible to optimize the sports and social resources offered by the school.
