The Algarve, located in Portugal, has once again been recognized as the best beach destination in the world at the prestigious World Travel Awards 2024, held on November 24 in Madeira.
This award, considered the “Oscar of Tourism,” marks the third time this region has won the title, following its victories in 2020 and 2021.
In a list of 23 nominees that included destinations such as the Maldives, Cancun, Seychelles and the Philippines, the Algarve has once again stood out for its stunning natural beauty and world-class tourism offerings.
Where is the Algarve
The Algarve is located in the extreme south of Portugal, a few hours flight from Spain, making it an ideal place for a getaway from Ibiza. Its 200-kilometer coastline is bathed by the Atlantic Ocean and is known for its tranquility.
