Ibiza is getting ready to welcome Christmas with an event that promises to fill the city with magic and festive spirit. This Saturday, November 30, the Portal de ses Taules will be the epicenter of the start of the festivities with the turning on of the Christmas lights and an impressive videomapping projection, which will bring to life the historic walls of the city. Mayor Rafael Triguero has pointed out that this year’s programming seeks not only to strengthen community ties, but also to encourage local commerce and energize public spaces. “Christmas is an opportunity for residents and visitors to enjoy together cultural and recreational activities that enrich our city,” he stressed.
A Christmas market for everyone
One of the great attractions will be the Christmas Market in the Paseo de Vara de Rey, open until January 6. This space, specially decorated for the occasion, will offer handmade products and local cuisine, becoming a meeting point to enjoy the Christmas atmosphere. In addition, the fair in Sa Joveria will have attractions for all ages and special days dedicated to children with special needs, ensuring inclusion in these significant dates.
Tradition and cultural activities
The arrival of the Three Wise Men on January 5 will be one of the most anticipated moments of the program. This year, in addition to the traditional tour through the main streets, they will make an adoration of the baby Jesus in the church of Roser, recovering a deep-rooted tradition on the island. The program also includes magic shows, Christmas concerts, and sports activities such as the first swim of the year on the beach of ses Figueretes on January 1, an experience that will culminate with a chocolatada for all attendees.
