Iberia Express has programmed 12 additional flights for the long weekend of December to the Balearic Islands, totaling 42 in all Spain, which means an increase of 7 %. From December 5 to 9, it will add 116 take-offs between Madrid and the Balearic Islands, 12 % more than in its basic program: 76 with Mallorca, 32 with Ibiza and 8 with Menorca, which is the island that this year concentrates a greater number of additional flights for the December long weekend. Specifically, on the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th Iberia Express will add an additional frequency to the Iberia Group operation between Menorca and Madrid, which means almost 1,400 seats on this route. In total, Iberia Express will deploy in the Balearic Islands during this December long weekend more than 23,000 seats, which represents 10% more seats on its base program. According to the Spanish low-cost airline in a press release on Monday, it will operate a total of 622 flights from December 5 to 9 to 22 local and international destinations.
