The Consell de Govern has made official the declaration of difficult coverage for the categories of auxiliary nursing care technician (TCAE) and superior health technician in the Health Area of Ibiza and Formentera.. This measure will benefit a total of 483 professionals, who will receive an annual economic complement from July 1, 2024.
Financial allowance for health care workers in key positions
The declaration, ratified after its approval by the Health Sector Roundtable on May 16, provides financial relief for those who perform these essential functions. Health technicians (category C1) will receive an annual allowance of 3,360 euros, while TCAE (category C2) will receive 2,352 euros.
In detail, 379 TCAE will benefit from this consideration, of which 360 work in Ibiza and 19 in Formentera. For their part, senior health technicians total 104, with 97 in Ibiza and 7 in Formentera.
Measure to address staffing shortages
This decision seeks to attract and retain professionals in areas considered to be lacking in human resources, a problem especially accentuated in the islands. According to the Balearic Executive, this complement not only recognizes the effort of the workers, but also aims to guarantee the quality of the health service in Ibiza and Formentera. The measure has had the majority support of the unions represented in the Sectorial Table of Health, including CCOO, CSIF, SATSE, SIMEBAL, UGT and USAE, who have positively valued this advance in the recognition of the working conditions of health professionals. This declaration is a step forward in improving the working conditions of health personnel and reaffirms the commitment of the institutions with health care in the Pitiusas.
