The Consell de Ibiza and the PIMEEF have presented the reactivation of the platform Som Comerç 100% Eivissaa tool designed to support and boost small local commerce. With a renewed image and functionality, the platform seeks to become a bridge between merchants and customers, encouraging proximity shopping. The platform was born in 2020, during the Covid-19 crisis, with the aim of mitigating the economic impact on small businesses. Now, it is back on the scene with new functionalities, integrating with the PIMEEF commercial loyalty card and available through the app Som Comerç. According to the Councilor for Economic Promotion and Municipal Cooperation, Maria Fajarnés, the initiative seeks to “join efforts to keep alive the commercial sector of Ibiza”. In addition, it will be available to the five municipalities of the island, allowing them to organize campaigns and offer exclusive discounts.
How the new tool works
The platform allows users to accumulate a 3% discount on their purchases at participating establishments, which can be used in future transactions. Those interested only have to download the app ‘Som Comerç’, while businesses that are not yet part of the project can easily join. The president of the PIMEEF Trade Association, José Javier Marí, stressed that this tool is designed to reward customer loyalty and strengthen the link between local businesses and their community.
A relaunch at Christmas time
To mark its return, Som Comerç 100% Eivissa has been relaunched to coincide with the Christmas campaign, one of the most important times for local commerce. As part of the strategy, it has launched a series of actions on social networks that seek to attract both customers and new businesses. The presentation event was attended by trade representatives from the five municipalities of Ibiza: Alex Minchiotti (Eivissa), Miguel Tur (Santa Eulària des Riu), Lourdes Marí (Sant Josep de sa Talaia), Miguel Tur (Sant Antoni de Portmany) and Javier Torres (Sant Joan). With this renewal, Som Comerç 100% Eivissa reinforces its commitment to small businesses, promoting economic sustainability and strengthening the connection between Ibizans and their local businesses. A bet that comes at a key moment to revive the island’s economy.
